Not as good as the previous books
The poorest of the ‘Dark Carpathian’ novels I’ve read so far. Dark Symphony is number 9 of the series and I found there wasn’t a lot of chemistry between the main characters nor did I care too much for the story. I’m finding as these novels are progressing that it’s like Feehan is running out of ideas with the Carpathian characters and is starting to branch out with new species etc, which can get a bit confusing. I plan to carry on reading the rest of the stories but I just hope she doesn’t lose what made me enjoy & want to read these books in the first place.

Don't believe everything you are told - people can have a reason to keep you down!
Awesome. She has been in a terrible accident that has left her blind and scarred, the only thing she has left is her music which thrills thousands. He has been lonely for so long and her music reaches out to him, holding him spellbound. When the two meet what will happen? Especially as her family had always made her feel ugly and unwanted. I loved this book in particular because our imperfections are always in our own eyes. Others do not really see them. A terrific plot and wonderful hero and heroine, who fight for what they want. I replaced my hard copy with this as it was looking a bit shabby from constant re-reading

Surreal, dark, and delightful
Having read the Dark Prince, I thought I knew what to expect delving into another Carpathian novel... found the same elements, but very much more. The characters are multi-dimensional in a way that I didn't expect, the plot had enough twists and turns to keep me reading till the wee hours of the night (hated myself the next morning when I woke at dawn, of course :P), and I never really thought that I'd fall in love with and relate so much to a blind protagonist who is absolutely stunning despite her human flaws. Byron also isn't perfect--although I wouldn't complain!--which adds to the "believability" of such a surreal, dark, and delightful piece. Ready to tackle the next Carpathian book--in no particular order. :)

symphony
this about the story of Antonietta Scarletti and Byron justicano joining. she is descendant from the jaguar race and her family is plagued by secrets and murder. when she is converted to carpathian her sight is restored but very disorientating as she has not used her sight in years (since an explosion when she was young which killed her parents). she is also a great composer of music on the piano.

Dark Symphony
I'm speechless. It just gets better and better. A slightly older woman - even better. So let's read of a 65 year old.. Can one survive conversion.. Surely yes and improvements come forth in each book.. In nurture and healing and letting the Carpathian race grow ... Very slowly...

This book is amazing, another very well thought through written book of the series. I loved all the detail and was just so caught up in all the emotions and waiting for the action to start. love the ending. Could read it over n over again. People would b crazy not to love these books.
