great hostess gift, lovely projected solar light
These are beautiful solar lanterns that project bright images on the surface around the lantern. The only concern is the copper color fades in bright sunlight after a few months of use. May want to spray with sealant while its first new to help preserve the copper color over time.

I have it on a table on my deck. Leaves a beautiful pattern of light. I found it expensive for what it is. Pretty small I haven't tested it long enough for battery life or durablity. It does seem to be water resistant.

Cute little lantern
This is a very cute little lantern. While the lantern itself does light up, it projects a softer light due to the pattern. The focus is more on the pattern it projects on the ground. Nice little addition for your patio or to line a walkway. In my opinion, it should be hung, but you could probably just place it on the ground and still get the same affect. I haven't tried that as I had a Shepard hook I wanted to hang mine from. We will see over time how long it holds up to the desert weather. I am pleased with this purchase.
