5 ounce cans of Salmon, 1 can is 1 serving, which is great for portion control. It contains 350 mg of sodium, which is same as most tuna. Though more than some other canned salmon I buy. Still, doable for the fact that this is one serving. Perfect size to eat straight from can, make a sandwich, eat with crackers, or over salad, make patties, etc. More dry and firm, than total mush. Better than most tuna. Reminds me more of an albacore tuna in terms of texture. No skin, no bones, no significant amount of water. I like that there isn't a lot of liquid. Some large cans I buy have a slew of excess liquid, and I dont want to pay for water. With this StarKist Wild Pink Salmon, depending on what I am using this for, I dont even bother draining. I like that I am paying for flesh. Tastes like salmon. I know some people have mentioned tuna. I took another can of salmon (the large cans, that typically have some skin and bones) and opened it up, and tasted them side by side. Tasted the same to me. I think the idea of it tasting like tuna is that it is in a tuna can, has small chunks like tuna, and of course is fishy.. Even I thought it was tuna like, then I decided to compare it side by side with other brands. All good. These cans require a can opener. Price is good with subscribe and save. I am really pleased to have tried this, and it is now a pantry staple.

As far as canned salmon goes, this is tasty. Not gritty like another popular brand. Good on salads or straight out of the can. Not too fishy and pleasant to eat.

Advertised as ‘wild PINK salmon’ but it’s white like tuna. Subtle salmon taste.

pricey but good quality. Sometimes fishy smelling but it is fish.

These are purchased through Amazon. Subscribe and save, which gives you a great price and assured delivery ( most of the time some of the times they don't deliver). Many recipes for salmon cakes require the larger can of salmon which is 15 and 3/4 oz, three of these is 15 oz. That's close enough. The recipes normally call for mayo or you could use aioli or you could actually use avocado, bread crumbs, dill or I use whatever spice I have on hand. Mix them up, make them into patties, fry them in some oil. I use olive oil and avocado oil and you're good to go. Three cans of these make enough for at least two meals for my wife and myself and sometimes three. And then I can use those salmon patties, break them up and put them on a salad. And providing this review Amazon wants me to rate rate the can salmon on value, flavor and style. Value: the value of these is great. Flavor: they taste great. Particularly in salmon cakes, although just flaked on the salad. It's the other way that I have it the great too. Style: I am no clue as to what they're looking for when they ask for a style on a can of salmon. The colors are great on the can. I'm not going to hang it on the wall. The areas that count are the flavor, the freshness in the value. And they're all great for that. As far as the style goes, maybe it's that I don't have any style. Therefore don't understand that process for canned salmon. Highly recommended.
