nearly no excess liquid compared to big cans of salmon. Side by side, taste same. Loving this!
5 ounce cans of Salmon, 1 can is 1 serving, which is great for portion control. It contains 350 mg of sodium, which is same as most tuna. Though more than some other canned salmon I buy. Still, doable for the fact that this is one serving. Perfect size to eat straight from can, make a sandwich, eat with crackers, or over salad, make patties, etc. More dry and firm, than total mush. Better than most tuna. Reminds me more of an albacore tuna in terms of texture. No skin, no bones, no significant amount of water. I like that there isn't a lot of liquid. Some large cans I buy have a slew of excess liquid, and I dont want to pay for water. With this StarKist Wild Pink Salmon, depending on what I am using this for, I dont even bother draining. I like that I am paying for flesh. Tastes like salmon. I know some people have mentioned tuna. I took another can of salmon (the large cans, that typically have some skin and bones) and opened it up, and tasted them side by side. Tasted the same to me. I think the idea of it tasting like tuna is that it is in a tuna can, has small chunks like tuna, and of course is fishy.. Even I thought it was tuna like, then I decided to compare it side by side with other brands. All good. These cans require a can opener. Price is good with subscribe and save. I am really pleased to have tried this, and it is now a pantry staple.

Pink Salmon
As far as canned salmon goes, this is tasty. Not gritty like another popular brand. Good on salads or straight out of the can. Not too fishy and pleasant to eat.

Very tasty and good quality
The product is very good in terms of consistency and quality of the salmon. Too bad they don't have it with no salt added. That would have been better. Only reason they don't get a higher review is because of the price. I'm not sure why salmon cost so much more than albacore tuna but that's my only gripe with the product and they lose 1 star for that. Maybe it's not fair but it is literally cheaper to go buy fresh salmon than canned salmon.

Great, but if the grams matter, trust your own scale
Easy fast protein. Good mild flavor. I've been buying this for a while now and am very happy with the product. Having said that, I must note that the cans claim 85g after draining. In over 30 cans I've drained to remove all the liquid the weight on my calibrated digital scale consistently shows 71g. It may not mean much to some, but for others those 14 grams matter.
