Pure Green Lipped Mussel Powder for Dogs and Cats, 150 Grams

This works amazing in combination with Nutrimax plus MSM & a fish oil supplement for my arthritic Great Pyrenees. I have noticed a huge difference in him giving him the combination of the 3 products. Just one product by itself didn't work for him but the combination makes a world of difference for him. Disclaimer, it doesn't work overnight!! After trial & error of different products it was a full 3 months on the combination of the products before I noticed a big difference in his ability to move around more easily. He can now get up off the floor without a great deal of effort & has a spring in his step again. He's frisky & playful again!! That is worth every penny spent on these supplements. I would highly recommend you try it & if using this by itself doesn't work don't write it off just yet. Combine it with another joint supplement to see if you notice a difference first. Not all joint issues are created equal & just like with human meds we need to tweak it over time to see what works for our own individual dogs.I started giving this along with the Nutrimax & fish oil to my Black Lab/Treeing Walker Coonhound mix who started having some arthritis since he turned 8. We're 2 months into the combo & I'm seeing huge improvements in him now as well. However I don't need to give him as big of a dose of the green lipped mussel powder as I do for my Great Pyrenees. You definitely have to adjust the dose according to how YOUR dog responds to it. I give my Great Pyrenees 1.5 scoops daily & my Lab mix gets a little less than 1 scoop daily.It's really worth a try when your watching your dogs be in pain as they age. I've been working with my vet to tweak their dosages of all 3 of the supplements I use for their joints. She's been very impressed by how they're responding without having to resort to prescription meds & steroids. We'd like to avoid that as long as possible & this supplement is absolutely helping with that. It also doesn't interact with the psychiatric meds my lab mix takes daily for his extreme anxiety. That's a huge bonus when you're dealing with anxiety so severe it causes your dog to harm himself if he's not properly medicated & there's unfortunately a lot of things that can affect those medications. This supplement thankfully is not one of them. That also makes adding this to your dogs daily routine worth every penny.I auto subscribe to have this delivered every few weeks. When my little Frenchton gets old I'll most likely use it with her as well if she starts suffering from joint pain. I wish I had known about this with my previous Great Pyrenees dogs. It would have potentially saved them some pain & maybe given them a few more years in the already short lifespan of our giant breed companions.Give it a try!!

We have an aging Shiba Inu and an aging Golden Doodle and they absolutely love this stuff. People are not exaggerating when they say that you can tell the quality from the smell, it does smell fresh. I decided to try a different cheaper brand that also claims to be 100% Green Lipped Muscle, but it doesn't smell nearly as fresh and although the Shiba ate the cheaper stuff, the golden doodle would literally eat around the cheaper stuff, so we are going back to this one even if it is more expensive.

Seems to work well. Expect canister to come about 1/2 empty. But serving size is small so it will last.

My Siberian Husky girl was in an accident four years ago and subsequently had to have her right back leg amputated. There are all kinds of considerations to manage the medical health of any amputee, because they deal with ligament damage, pain, difficult ambulation, and decreased range of motion, so their nutrition is very important. I have given this nutritional supplement to her since her accident and I am happy to report that she is mobile, active, and still jumps over logs in the woods. She really likes the taste and I know this because when I sprinkle it on top of her kibble, she licks up the remaining powder from the bottom of her bowl. I highly recommend this supplement for any animal that has mobility challenges.

I ordered this product because my 5 1/2 Y.O. doxie has IVDD and we've just gotten through a 3 month battle with it. I read in numerous articles that the pure green lipped mussels was of such great benefit to their spine whereas the hip & joint supplements I was giving her was not reaching the spine area. She loves the Daybreak 100% Green Lipped Mussel supplement and sprinkle 1/2 scoop on her food each morning and she eats it up. We're still on our first jar, but I've ordered & rec'd our 2nd bottle to continue on when she is finished with the first. Note that the smell is a strong fishy smell, but it does not deter her. If it keeps her healthy I do not care. I would recommend this product for any dog parent that has a dog breed that is long bodied and short legs.

I got this on the vet's recommendation. I can't tell if it is having any health benefits on my elderly dogs or not -but they do love this stuff. Even my cat likes a little on his breakfast

Seems to be helping an older German Shepherd walk better. He has a torn ACL from 6 years ago and we did not put him through surgery but did physical therapy and acupuncture. He healed well but still had some issues. After several weeks on Green Lipped Mussel he seemed to improve so he gets it every day now and you would never know he had an injury. Has been on it for 3 years.
