The light that updates your room to a modern vibe. The many colors and vast customizability with the ease of use mobile app directly connecting either through bluetooth or wifi. The product box came with very nice items for a simple install the added wire connectors were quality and very functional when joining the wires to bring the power. Although there isn’t a physical remote control other than the room light switch itself the better replacement is the mobile govee app with its various premade scenes and effects. The app allows a lot of customization options to better suite your preferences. Light is bright and very dimmable. And now only the test of time will tell us what is the appropriate Lifespan which is being given in this to us for this colorful fun ceiling light.

We replaced our ceiling puck lights with these. Our original puck lights were mounted directly to round J-boxes in the ceiling. Took those off (2 screws) and installed the Govee mounting plate with the same screws. Connected the black and white wires between the Govee light and the house wiring with the original wire nuts. Positioned the light onto the plate, then with a counterclockwise turn it's all done! On the other hand, the Govee app is a mess. It gets the job done but it's crammed with so much junk (aka "features") that just get in the way, in my opinion. The light/color is even across the disc; the dimming function is welcome as it can get very bright in a small room. I'm still figuring out the app to see how to synchronize functions between 2 more lights. Overall, I'm very pleased with how easy it was to install, Matter support, the minimalist asthetic, and the lighting it provides.

Turns on with the light switch. I start my review by saying that because that is a concern with many of these lights that we investigated while shopping. This light is pretty amazing. It was super easy to install and I had it up in minutes. It took me longer to remove the old fixture than it did to install this one. It can be adjusted to light up the room very bright or dim enough to sleep through. I really like all the color options as well. I gave it five stars because the product deserves it. My only complaint is with the app. It would seem that as soon as we try to load the app on a different phone, it disconnects from the app on another. This means only one of us in the house can control the options. This may be our user error, but we are pretty tech savvy and are still having the same problem.

This was perfect to replace a light in our bathroom. Much easier to install than other lights I’ve replaced. The included connectors are also a really nice touch so you don’t have to deal with wire nuts. I had zero probably getting it connected to wifi. As far as brightness it’s extremely bright and adjustable. The other light modes it has are a nice fun addition as well for the kids. I’ll definitely be adding more of these throughout the house.

With the exception of some of the outdoor devices that lack sufficient waterproofing for outdoor devices and the occasional connectivity glitch in their floor lamps, I love govee devices. I was an early smart home adopter and have used a ton of devices, no other company seems to be as creative as Govee, Cync has come a long way and has a few great options, but Govee just keeps putting out product after product. This light is notably better than a lot of the cheap smart life compatible options, granted it's also more expensive. It's bright, the upper and main lights can be controlled separately, and it has a good range of colors. It was pretty easy to install with snap in wire connectors, no twisting.

This light looks nice and appears to be high quality. It works amazingly with the BT motion sensor from Govee as well. You set it up from within the Govee app. Please note, mine came with older firmware (1.01) and did not immediately support Matter. Not even an option. Also no way I could find to force a firmware update. Be patient. Afterr a few hours firmware has updated itself and added Matter support. If you use Home Assistant or another Matter controller, you might just get a message then to add a Matter device. I included it into my Matter ecosystem with moderate success using Home Assistant, eventually getting three of these lights up and running. Please note, you will not find a scannable code sticker, but you can find the Matter inclusion code once your firmware is updated. You can paste that into whatever home automation system you want to use and it should add from there. The wifi in 1.02 is very finicky. It wants 2.4 GHz and WPA 2, not 3. I set up an extra SSID with that but it prefers some of my WAPs over others for initial pairing (mostly picky about Omada managed devices). Once all of that happens, you will get matter credentials and WIFI, and then it's actually ready for Home Assistant integration. On one of my units, I gave up trying to use the Android version of Matter integration inherent in my Home Assistant app and Google Home, and instead used the Aqara, which worked fine and was very fast. Then I added it from there to Home Assistant. Sometimes you need to toggle the device on and off during integration. Also, you can have complete control over all features from Govee, while still maintaining control from Home Assistant or from Google Home. Mounting to the ceiling or any old fixture is such a breeze. No neutral wire. Thing just works right out of the box.

I’m really impressed with how smooth this setup was from start to finish. The installation took only a few minutes, and everything fit exactly as it should with no tools or adjustments required. Even if you’re not especially tech-savvy, the step-by-step instructions make the whole process simple. Connecting it to the app was just as easy. The device paired immediately, updated quickly, and responded right away to commands. All of the features loaded without any issues, and the interface is clean and intuitive. What really stood out, though, was how seamlessly it linked to Amazon. The integration took less than a minute, and once connected, the device showed up instantly and responded to voice commands and routines without any lag. It’s rare to find a smart product that works this effortlessly right out of the box. Overall, this is a fantastic 5-star product, easy to install, easy to set up, and rock solid once connected. Highly recommended for anyone who wants a hassle-free experience with great performance.

The light is awesome. I put it above my desk to get a little extra light and it lights up most of the room. Almost never can have it at 100% brightness while working at my desk. Pick up the govee remote as well, makes an awesome quick switch I rarely even use the app anymore. I have the 6 button so you can put six presets. Also works well with stream deck.
