The roof sunshade was not among them, since I wanted to enjoy the glass roof panel, one of the car's main features, but when the weather got warmer, I started to get cabin overheat warnings on my Tesla. I was offered this product at no cost, so I gave it a try. I have been using it for about a month and cabin overheat warnings have decreased significantly (I think I only received two or three notifications after installing it, while I was getting them daily before I had this accessory).I live in a northern Midwest state, so I think Model Y owners in hotter states will appreciate this even more. This is one of those accessories that I would not have thought of myself but after having it and using it for a month, I can say that it is one the most practical and useful accessories for Model Y. It is easy to install and easy to fold and store when not in use. I think I will take it off when winter comes, but for the next few months, this is permanently in my car. I strongly recommend this accessory. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Nice fitting sun shade *by on Reviewed in the United States 10 April 2024* I heard about this sunshade while watching Youtube videos by "Iowateslaguy" and I have to agree with him that this is a quality product. It fits nice and snug and is substantial enough (with a reflective coating) to help reduce the heat buildup of my Tesla Y with a full glass roof. Now, one person can put up the shade (as I did) but the first time you do it is a bit awkward. I suggest two things to make the job easier: First, find the locations between the glass roof and the car interior where there are sufficient gaps to squeeze the holding clips in place, as some areas are just too tight, then use that info to locate the clips onto the shade. Second, when engaging the clips onto the sunshade, hold the clip perpendicular to the sunshade, engage the little wedges with the rim of the sunshade and then flip them so that they are the same plane as the sunshade. Now you are ready to slip the shade with clips installed into the gaps between the car's interior trim and window glass. The color is a good match for the interior (my photo doesn't do it justice). I think I will keep this in place 100% of the time as here in Northern California the sun is shining more often than not and I use the AC more than the heater. As you can see from the readings from my infrared thermometer, the roof glass is 30 degrees (F) hotter than the shade. That says it all. And, the light color of the shade keeps the interior bright enough for my needs. ## Frequently Bought Together - HALOBLK Non-Sag Glass Roof Sunshade with Storage Bag Designed for Model Y, Foldable Sunroof Shade with Heat Insulation Cover for 2021-2024 Model Y Accessories (Gray) - Upgraded Sunshade for Tesla Model 3/Y Windshield, Improved UV Protection Fabric, Metal Frame, Full-Size Foldable Front Sun Shade, Professional Accessories for Tesla Model 3/Y 2016 to 2025 - Spigen Tempered Glass Screen Protector [GlasTR EZ FIT] Designed for Tesla Model 3 (2023-2017), Tesla Model Y (2025-2020) 15 inch Dashboard Touchscreen - Matte/Anti Fingerprint --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.sn/products/625632058-haloblk-non-sag-model-y-glass-roof-sunshade-with-storage](https://www.desertcart.sn/products/625632058-haloblk-non-sag-model-y-glass-roof-sunshade-with-storage) --- *Product available on Desertcart Senegal* *Store origin: SN* *Last updated: 2026-10-30*
