TAMASHII NATIONS - Monster Hunter Series - Rathalos -20th Anniversary Edition-, Bandai Spirits S.H.MonsterArts Action Figure

A lot of people have been getting faulty copies of this figure - quality control on the original release was not the best, and it seems it hasn't improved. But the one I got was not a dud, and if you can get a good one, this is a great figure to have. The painting is much more clear than on the original release, the details (like black spikes) are more noticeable and don't just blend into the rest of the paint. The joints hold well, the articulation is great. Some of the sculpted details, like tiny scales, have been improved so they're more visible. A lot of parts that were loose or showed gaps on the original have been modified so that doesn't happen as much. And the fireball is a much more exciting accessory than the small flame piece that came with the original. If you want a S.H. Monsterarts Rathalos, get this one and not the original release. But maybe look around for used figures that have been checked for flaws.

Bigger than I initially anticipated, but worth it for the discounted price. Rathalos is the face of Monster Hunter, wether you grew up with the PS2 version of ‘04 or you liked fighting him in Wilds in ‘25. Rathalos is and will always be the face of MH just like pikachu with Pokémon

While trying to put the wings together. Theyd fall out the sockets constantly, after 3 tries one wing even broke a connection piece. Shoddy and terribly made. The ball portions of the joint have weak attachment points, and the sockets appear to be too large causing the thing to fall apart constantly. Even when i did successfully get the thing put together in the right manner, the arms that hold up the wings were too short and when i went to try and adjust the wing it fell apart. $160 items with $20 quality

Will it fall apart when you play or mess with it? Yes. May you struggle to keep the wings together? Probably. But is it worth it? To a monster hunter fan of over 15 years, you bet it is. It's well painted, has great detail, and is flexible enough to pose for just about any position you can think of, even if the included stand cannot help you realize them. I've only heard good things about the SH Monsterarts line, and this confirmed it. If it held together a bit better, it would be an easy 5 stars, as is, I'd probably give it more of a 4.5. But, I have to give it a three, because when spending this much money on a figurine, you shouldn't receive one that has two right feet lol. It makes it look uncanny and weird, and again we're spending triple digits on this thing, it shouldn't happen! I've reached directly out to Bandai for support, and will update the score if they work with me on making this figure right. Edit:Bandai not willing to send replacement part, will have to return and buy again. Might tread carefully when buying this product.

For those who are big fans of rathalos i would definitely recommend it is very huge and mobile and the quality is amazing was worth every penny

The figure looks great. Articulation is great upon first impression. However, the wings are extremely fragile. The right wing membrane ball joint for the underarms broke inside the ball joint socket. The last joint on the wing is also extremely loose and always falls out. In general, the figure feels fragile which for a figure with a triple digit price point, is embarrassing. If you don't mind supergluing pieces together and leaving the figure posed on a shelf to never be touched again, then this figure is the one. If you want to touch this figure more than once, Do not recommend.

Came in perfect shape and did not disappoint. It meets my expectations and then some. I wish they made Glavenus, Lagiacrus and Brachydios!

This figure is fragile and breaks easily that I had to get a third one to finally handle with care. Its wing parts are made out of clear plastic, which was a bad take on making this repaint of Rathalos. Save your money if you wanna avoid getting a defect, but if you're an MH fan, you'll love tbis and hope that yours doesn't break.

Cool design but the plastic is really bad and breaks easily so just don't bother.

Bonjour la figurine est conforme a la description le seul point négatif il aurait fallu avoir des ailes complète que articulée le corps qui soit articulée c'est pas un problème mais des ailes articulée je trouve ça dommage surtout pour une créature emblématique de monster hunter car je suis un grand joueur de la licence.
