I started using Reconstux when my nails and cuticles were in terrible shape. My nails were extremely short, my cuticles were damaged and inflamed, and the skin around several nails was cracked and sore. I took photos on Day 1, after about a month, and again at four months because I wanted to see if there was actually a difference. Looking back at the pictures, the improvement speaks for itself. My nails are noticeably longer and stronger, my cuticles look healthier, and the irritated skin around my nails has improved dramatically. I used Reconstux pretty consistently, applying it once or twice a day as part of my routine. This product made a noticeable difference in my nails. If your nails have been damaged from gels, acrylics, picking, or just years of neglect like mine, I think it’s definitely worth trying. I’ll continue using it as part of my nail care routine.

I have been looking for this product since I had to stop doing acrylic nails due to the cost. The last time I went to the salon was May of 2024 for fills. So after about 3 weeks after that appointment my acrylic nails were lifting and breaking off. I have tried many other products to actually help my nails grow but to no avail until I found this product that I had used before many years ago. Sally’s used to carry this product but not anymore. I really wish I had taken a before photo of my weak, brittle nails because you could have seen the before/after for yourself but I didn’t, sorry about that. I will tell you that before using this product my nails were super short and extremely thin and weak. You just apply the product to your nails and gently massage your nails which will help stimulate your nails to grow, also put some of the product under your free edge of your nails too. I know it’s not easy to do when they are short but it will help. I would recommend doing it at least twice a day and prior to going to bed at night. That’s what I did. And now my nails are so much stronger than they have ever been and about the same length that I used to get the acrylic nails too. And SO much better than they have ever been in many years. Give it a try, what have you got to lose??

This would be the 2nd time Ive purchased IBD. I used to buy it from Sally's so I got lucky when I was able to find it on Amazon. Buyer be patient. I used it twice a day on the cuticle and inside the nail and massaged it in for about 2wks then added it to my nightly routine. Over about a 6wk period I saw some growth but I kept filing it down until the split was totally gone. I am severely lacking essential nutrients like iron, zinc, and biotin (Vitamin B7) this sped up the process and now I can wear my "piggies" out! 😁

I’m keeping photo type journal of regrowth and the health of nails and so far nothing has happened it’s been about 2 weeks. I will continue and take photos each week. We shall see. If nothing by the end of bottle then I’ll make sure never to purchase again. The End.

I have terrible nails that chip and I hate nail polishes- even clear. I use my hands a lot with art and gardening, so am hard on them. This product seems to help them chip less and grow longer and stronger if I use it faithfully (2x day). When I neglect using it for awhile, my nails start chipping again. Reconstrux is clear, odorless and subtle and can be applied sloppily on your cuticles too- and just soaks in, so you don't have to use polish remover. I can't really explain how the product works, but it does. My nails will never be gorgeous, but they've become almost pretty, and I've still kept them aka "natural". I've used it for several years and hope they don't stop making it. I especially recommend it if you are recovering from artificial nail removal.

I had a nail that was cut awkwardly and wanted it to grow back, so I tried this product. Unfortunately, it didn’t seem to help. I’m not sure if it’s the product or just my nail that won’t grow properly.

EDIT: It's been a few months now, and for the first time in years, I have no hangnails, no peeling around the nail bed, and the ridges on my nails are visibly improved. New pix to show just how much things have changed, and I'm delighted. I'm 75, and my hands have been through a fair amount of injuries and "oops" moments. In the 80s, I had acrylic nails for a couple of years, and that was when the serious damage began. Until now, my nails were dry, I had vertical ridges on all but the smallest nails, constant hangnails, and cuticles that were cracked. Even with regular clipping, filing and buffing, moisturizing, and nail protection products, nothing seemed to help. I purchased a single bottle of Reconstrux on impulse probably a year or more ago, tried it a couple of times and then couldn't find it. It showed up again as I was sorting out the linen closet, so thought I'd give it another shot. After a couple of weeks I realized that nails that had been splitting as soon as they passed the nail bed had stopped catching on things. Now I'm seeing a reduction in the ridges, the cuticles aren't drying out, I haven't had a hangnail for a couple of weeks, and for the first time in decades I'm happy with the way my nails look and feel. After perhaps 6 weeks of use it gives me hope that the improvements will continue. And that's why I bought the 2-pack - I know I'll be using it from now on! PS - Sorry I didn't think to take a "before" picture so you could really see the improvements. But if they look like this now, you can probably imagine how bad it used to be.

I have been a life long nail biter, I have stopped a few times in the past and actually successfully used this same product years ago. My nails were in really rough shape. We went on a girls spa day and my nails were so short I didn’t even want to get them done it was so embarrassing!! Our manicurist asked me what has helped me stop in the past and I remembered I had started using this last time I kicked the bad habit. I mentioned it to her and she said she’d recommend to another client of hers who was also in the same boat. I decided that day I would STOP biting my nails for good and picked up this product again since the results were so good in the past. It really works great! Not only are my nails growing surprisingly quick but they feel much stronger than before. I use twice daily, morning and night. I’m very happy with this product and I’ll keep using it and will definitely restock myself when I run out.

It takes a while, of course to grow out some of the damaged tips, but my nails are getting so much better. They were badly ridged, mostly due to old age and not hydrating enough. But the edges that kept peeling and splitting are definitely becoming stronger! That means they're getting longer at last.
