I wanted this film to see if it was suitable to tame down my conservatory, I think it would, but the narrow width and short length made it an expensive option.ProsPrivacy effect works wellLight blocking is ideal for conservatoriesAll tools includedVery easy to fitIncluded tools are high quality (except the sprayer)ConsWater sprayer was brokenExpensive option for larger windowsSeams show upThe Window Privacy Film kit came in a 'that-ll do' bag but it-ll do, the bundle is ideal as it includes everything you need other than water, I especially appreciated the squeegee.InstallationI wasn't off to a great start as the water sprayer bottle was faulty as the trigger mechanism was broken and wouldn't pump, no biggie as I had my own so cracked on, it is best to precut the lengths and allow a few mm longer to trim afterwards, after doing so I quickly realised that this roll wouldn't go far at all, especially considering the 300mm width, 1 roll would only do half of a window, after doing the mathematics I quickly realised this wasn't a viable option for me.The included tools struck me as far higher quality than I expected, even the knife was better than some of my hobby knives.I carried on to at least prove the installation method, and on that side this film was just superb to fit, the hardest part is removing the protective film layer which requires that peeling patience, once I got a corner started it soon whipped off, then basically:Clean the window thoroughlySpray the window with clean waterApply the film and maneuver into placeTrim with knifeSqueegee the air bubbles outwardsClean and allow to dryIt's difficult to describe how simple and satisfying this part was, I was like; "is that all there is to it?" as I stood back and admired my handywork, I appreciated how easy it was to manipulate it into a perfect fit and it trims cleanly with the included knife.The final result looked pretty good even though I only had a 300mm wide test strip, looking outwards the visibility was good but obviously dulled, looking inwards wasn't completely blanked out but it certainly gave good privacy, but only in daylight, in the evenings with a light on you can clearly see inside.One thing to consider in this particular shade though; it is quite dark and blocks a lot of natural light, which is ideal if that is what you are after, but not ideal if like me you crave natural light, I wanted the reflective and privacy features but also plenty of light, finding the right balance for you will require a compromise.The 2Mtr length didn't give me enough to fit two full runs but I tried a shorter length to see how well it butted up together, this wasn't great though, no matter how hard I tried the seam was always too visible, it would do my head in as it cheapens the look.In the end I removed it all as half-a-job looked an eyesore, I forgot to photograph it in my haste sorry.Overall ConclusionAll though this film wasn't for me, I cannot fault it for what it is, it does the job well, easy to apply and a good selection of good quality tools included, pleasing results and does exactly what it says in the description. But you need to consider the width, length and shade before deciding if this is for you.
