Two weeks ago while metal detecting I ran into a Mohave that tagged my calf. I felt the hard hit but no fangs got through. I think it was a dry bite since I did not see venom run down gaiter. I own several diffrent style snake gaiter leggings and these Frelaxy Snake Gaiters are my go to leggings. They have excellent features that make it easy to put on correctly and stay in place. Features include: velcro alignment, buckle foot and heel straps to keep tongue guard in place and keeps the gaiters from riding up leg or twisting. The poly plates that wrap calf are positioned so the the left overlaps with right covering weakspots between plates. I use these while working and prospecting in desert or woody areas known for snakes.
