Top recommendation
We get a million compliments on this baby carrier. We were Tula people with our first and since then have tried Hope and Plum, Boba, and now Ergobaby and we both love it.It's just so handy, easy to use, and baby loves it. It's just an all around win. It's also a really good value and will get years of use. I cant recommend it more.My husband used it at 2x at his highest weight and I used it at 3x at my highest weight, both of us are 5"6 and carry our weight on top.

Best carrier we’ve used — comfy for baby and mom-approved
I’ve tried four different carriers, and this one is by far the best for my 10-month-old. She absolutely loves it — especially wearing it like a little backpack, which makes her giggle and feel secure.I use it everywhere:In the storeAround the houseWhile I’m cleaning or doing choresIt’s comfortable for her and supportive for me, so I can wear her a long time without getting sore. The all-position design makes it easy to adjust between hip carry and fuller support, depending on what we’re doing that day.Overall, I’m really happy with this carrier and would recommend it to other parents looking for something versatile and easy to wear.

Super products
It's very convenient. I often use it. I will also take it with me when I go out. It relieves the pressure on my wrist. It's also comfortable for the baby to sit on this waist stool. I don't have to worry about affecting his development.

Solid Carrier
Baby is nice and supported. Easy to use. My back does start to hurt pretty quickly, but my little one is a pretty heavy guy so maybe that’s why

You must get !!!
This is the best carrier I have gotten. I have several others and I also returned one of them. I know the price of this is kinda high, but this is literally amazing!!! It’s so comfortable, and it’s really nice material. It’s very easy to figure out and use unlike some others. It fits great and I can adjust it to my waist band. I didn’t even look at the instructions and was able to figure it out . That’s how easy it was for me to get it sized and on. I love it and most importantly my baby loves it. She cries in a lot of them , she’ll cry if she doesn’t like certain things I get. She loved this carrier. I love how many ways you can do it. The last recent carrier I got was a Mumgaroo, and it was nice and all but the only thing that really worked well for my baby was the platform for her to sit on. There was so many straps and pieces I was trying to figure out. It’s also Velcro and i felt it wasn’t enough to stay put. I really liked the platform , and I pretty much only used that . So when I found this one but bigger , it got my attention. I also looked at the reviews and wanted to see what others think. After lots of reading and research , I finally decided to get this one. I’m so glad I did , because I love it , my baby loves it. It’s super nice , and so easy to put on . It’s got a buckle instead of that Velcro in the other. It’s so much more sturdier I feel. And my favorite part , the platform , it’s a bit bigger so my baby can have more room to sit. And as she grows, she can grow into it . I plan to keep this for future kids. I approve of this and so does my happy little baby😊(It’s adjustable to so many different sizes)So whether you got a small waist like me , or you got a big waist , it can work for any. If you’re having trouble finding a good carrier , try this one ! The worst case scenario is it’s not for you, and just return it . But I Hope this review helps other moms who are struggling to find a carrier.Oh also , the only thing I do have to say is it can kinda cause back pain but I think all carriers do. Maybe it’s just me too since my back hurts from hunching all the time. Happy purchase and happy customer !

Definitely recommend to all parents!
As a first time mom I had to do a lot of research to which carrier would be best for my daughter that wouldn’t cause any harm and would be easy for me to use. I got the Ergobaby Alta Hip seat baby carrier and it’s the best thing ever. My daughter is comfortable. My back doesn’t hurt at all and my daughter weighs 22 pounds so very happy with my purchase. It’s a bit expensive but for my daughters comfort and my wellbeing it’s worth every dollar. Would 10000% recommend to all parents for their babies and it can be changed to different ways.

⭐☆☆☆☆ WORST HIP SEAT I’VE EVER TRIED – Painful, Poor Fit, and Overhyped
I own multiple hip carriers – from the pricey Tushbaby to smaller $35 chinese brands – and I can confidently say this is the worst one I’ve ever used. I had high hopes because of Ergobaby’s reputation, but this was a massive disappointment from the moment I took it out of the box.1. Terrible Fit – Even for Average-Sized PeopleI’m 5’6", 125 lbs, size 4 – a totally average build – and this “all-position” hip seat simply does not fit. The waistband is so long that I can wrap it around my waist twice and still not buckle it securely. It seems designed only for much larger waist sizes, and without extra Velcro or adjustment options, smaller users are out of luck.2. Poor Design – Awkward & UnstableThe curved base forces you to wear it either on the side or directly in front (which only works if you have a belly to hold it in place). Otherwise, it slides or feels like it’s going to fall off. When I finally managed to tighten it enough to try it with my 30 lb, just-turned-3-year-old, it was instantly uncomfortable.3. Heavy, Painful, & Zero SupportWithin minutes of walking, it felt like I was carrying a bag of bricks. My daughter blocked my forward vision when worn in front, so I shifted her to my side – which quickly became excruciating. The straps don’t relieve any weight, there’s minimal padding inside, and absolutely no lumbar support. My hip bone and lower back hurt after just 5 minutes of “testing,” let alone real use.4. Child Comfort? Also Fails. The large padded seat was the only reason I bought this model, but even my toddler said, “It’s not comfortable.” For reference, she’s perfectly happy on the Tushbaby (which doesn’t hurt me either).Bottom Line:This is not the premium, ergonomic carrier I expected. Without significant design changes – better fit range, real lumbar support, more padding, and stability – it’s practically useless for toddlers or heavier babies. Maybe it’s passable for a newborn or under-2 baby, but for anyone else: DO NOT BUY. Save your money and your back.

Nice material but bulky.
The Ergobaby Alta 2-in-1 Hipseat has some good qualities but also some drawbacks compared to other hipseats I’ve tried. On the positive side, the fabric feels high quality, the seat itself is sturdy and holds up well, and my baby sits comfortably when using the carrier. That said, it’s much bulkier and heavier than my Tushbaby, which makes it harder to stow away or bring along for quick trips. It only has one pocket, and it’s so small and tight that it’s not really useful for carrying essentials. I also find the adjustment system inconvenient—unlike Tushbaby, which uses Velcro so I can position and tighten the seat easily, this one requires unlooping the buckle through different holes to adjust the fit. Since both my husband and I use the hipseat, the lack of easy adjustability is frustrating.Overall, it’s a safe and sturdy option, but for convenience and daily use, I still prefer my Tushbaby.

Pas pour enfant en bas de 4 mois
Pas recommandé pour les nouveaux nés mais super qualité. Je le retourne seulement parce que je veux un porte bébé pour ma fille de 6 semaines et celui-ci convient à partir de 4 mois.

Supportive and sturdy hip carrier that grows with your baby — just a few minor things to note
I got this hip seat + carrier combo to help with the back strain I was experiencing while carrying my toddler—especially during daycare drop-offs and longer outings. As a hip carrier, it does exactly what it’s supposed to: it shifts the weight to your hips, reducing pressure on the upper body and making carrying more manageable. What I especially like about this carrier is the seat itself. It’s wide, supportive, and provides a secure, comfortable spot for my toddler to sit. Compared to other brands I’ve tried—where the seat is often narrow or slopes downward—this one features a flatter, more spacious platform that keeps my child well-positioned and at ease. The structure of the seat also feels solid and reliable. Unlike some designs that use only a hard top layer with a hollow compartment underneath (to double as storage), this seat is fully reinforced throughout. That likely explains why this carrier includes just a small pocket and no major storage compartments—and honestly, I’m fine with that. The main goal here is comfort and support, and in that regard, it absolutely delivers. That said, while it’s definitely more ergonomic than holding my child in my arms or using a traditional soft carrier, I did notice that—like most hip carriers—it can become a bit uncomfortable after prolonged use or extended walking. It’s not painful, but the weight distribution does start to put some pressure on the hips over time. This seems to be a common trade-off with hip seat carriers in general, not something unique to this model. What I really like:• The seat design — it’s wide, flat, and provides excellent support. My toddler sits comfortably and securely without slipping or tilting forward, unlike other carriers I’ve tried with narrower or more angled seats. The base is solid all the way through (not hollow or storage-based), which gives me more confidence while using it.• Weight capacity up to 45 lbs — perfect for extending the life of the product as my toddler grows.• Dual functionality — it comes with a carrier attachment included (unlike other brands where that’s a separate purchase), making it more versatile when I want to go hands-free.• Ideal for older babies — I wish I had this when my baby was 6 months+ and able to sit up. It would’ve been such a game-changer.• Adjustable fit — the waist belt accommodates a wide range of body types, which is great for sharing between caregivers.A few things to note:• Out of the box, the waist straps are quite large, and I initially thought it wasn’t suited for smaller waists. While I eventually figured out it is adjustable, tightening the strap caused it to bunch up awkwardly and look messy, no matter how I adjusted it.• To fix this, I fully unbuckled the waist strap, adjusted the length to fit my waist, then re-buckled it. I also discovered that instead of threading the excess strap outside (as it comes originally), you can loop the extra length inward to keep it hidden. This solved the bunching issue entirely.• That said, I really wish the carrier came with clear instructions on how to properly adjust the waist strap. It’s versatile enough to fit both large and small waist sizes, but figuring that out took some unnecessary trial and error.• The adjustment buckle is quite rigid, so making real-time adjustments—especially while holding your child—is nearly impossible. I either have to get help or make sure everything is fitted properly in advance.Final Thoughts:This is a well-designed and practical carrier for parents of older babies and toddlers. The breathable mesh is a plus, and while it doesn’t offer extra storage space beyond the small pocket, the solid, thoughtfully constructed hip seat more than makes up for it. If you’re debating between a hip seat and a full carrier, this is a solid hybrid option that delivers on comfort, support, and long-term value.

Baby Loves it
My baby did not care for the fist regular Ergobay carrier we had. She was always upset and not wanting to stay in. She absolutely loves his carrier and I believe it’s because of the seat! It is surprisingly comfortable for me to wear as well! So glad I purchased this! It is not usable without the shoulder straps (as a hip only) as I find the seat digs into my hips. But I have been using it with the straps and it’s been a game changer!

Ergonomic and handy
Very practical I just tried it for a couple of days and the way it shapes the belly is perfect! Especially if you had a c section , it foesn’t put too much pressure

Overall Happy
This is very useful carrier for us. We have a 18-lbs 4 month old baby and this really helps especially when I'm wearing my baby while I have mommy's wrists. The hip seat really helps when you just wanna quickly pick up the baby and can hold with both hands otherwise the normal way is just as good. Our baby is comfortable and well supported. My husband who's on the XL size is able to use this comfortably. My only wish probably for this model is to be more breathable for the baby as sometimes when the weather is hot I feel that the baby gets easily warm.
