If, like me, you're always losing beads down the side of a chair (much to the despair of my family!) then this beading board is a brilliant answer to keeping all your beads and tools together. Featuring two boards which come apart - I simply put one on top of the other if not needing to use the second as I want to use it on my knee, in an armchair - the boards have quality bead mats which help keep beads in place. And so far at least, I've managed to avoid losing beads as they tend to be caught in the side of the board and are easy to recover. I notice that, when clipped back together, I can also keep my tools inside it without any problem.I'm really glad I finally bought this, and it arrived next day via Amazon Prime. If you're really devoted to beading and keeping those pesky beads together - or want to move from room to room without having to put everything away - then this board is an answer to our beading woes.

As I do beading I found this ideal when I want to work on my lap rather than the table, it is useful for both as it is very sturdy

Very poor quality. I should have taken notice of previous reviews that said bead mat not stuck properly etc but as this was the 3rd bead buddy I had purchased, I thought perhaps people were being over critical. They definitely weren’t. The mat is not stuck down properly and the surface is very uneven. The glue used rips the foam if you try to move it. Even the size guide is made from cheap cardboard and has no wipe clean finish or backing.This item is nowhere near the same quality is the 2 smaller boards I already own and I can only assume it is not manufactured by the same company

It does everything it says it does. It's ideal for carrying aroung your project, although if you want handbag size, this one isn't it. However it has many advantages, the 2 halves come apart which can be useful if your sat watching TV whilst finishing off your project, although it can take some jiggery pokery to separate them without flinging your beads everywhere (takes a bit of practise). However once it's closed your beads and project are safe and any loose beads will stay put no matter how much you shake them (I've tried trust me). The only thing that would make it better is 2 different coloured mats either side, cream seed or delica beads tend to blend in a little, or maybe interchangable mats. Just a thought.

There is a 5+ mm gap between the edge of the bead mat and the start of the case along the righthand side of the base. The bead mat on the lid of the case is even worse with gaps around all edges varying from approximately 2mm to 6mm and in places it is not even glued to the case and distorted. I placed my current project with its beads , size 11/0 delicas & size 15/0 seed beads, & a tiny pair of scissors in it, closed it, turned it over & back, then re-opened it to find bead soup around the edges - not one bead was in its original position!! The only thing in its original position were the scissors, so I would have been as well to dump all my carefully sorted beads in a plastic bag to take somewhere and then spent hours re-sorting them!I don't know if I have been sent a substandard product or if this is the normal quality of this product but it would barely be worth £2.99 not the 10x that price I paid.

It’s a brilliant product, easy to use and when the grandkids call just fasten it up to put away and when they have gone just open it up and your ready to carry on. Don’t know how I managed without it!

A brilliant tray no need to get the beads out every time I move to a different place

It was what I expected as my old one the catch broke on it.

I have one of each size. The smallest one is about the size of a tablet and fits nicely in your purse. The middle size is about the size of a piece of paper and the larger one, about the size of two pieces of paper side by side. It’s a good size to use for several projects at once. All three have the same problem. Sometimes when you open them, the cover sticks and you have to press on the center by the hinges and then it opens fine. Not that big of an inconvenience. Recommend them to anyone who travels with small projects like bead work, or others small part projects. Love these!

I'm disappointed with my purchase. The Bead Buddy Board was larger than what I wanted.

Absolutely love this. I bought this on the advice of my girlfriend. I should have bought one years ago. I love it! Beads stay in place, very large work area and well made.

I take my jewelry projects along. I don't need dedicated spaces just a large work surface that closes securely. This is as close as I could find. I would pay more for less plastic but until then this is very usable. Thank you. (It doesn't hold tools. I have a zip case.)

This is a great item for beading, especially if you don't finish the project right away. You can easily leave your beads and findings inside and they will be right where you left them upon return. I bought the larger size which is bigger than I was expecting (I know I should have figured it out by the measurements). That being said, I'm not disappointed in it. It is very functional and lightweight. It still fits in my carry-on suitcase so I will be able to take it on vacations too. Another nice feature is that it can be separated into two sections so you can bead with a friend and share work space.
