i very rarely write reviews but i had so much fun with this kit that i wanted to share. 5 stars, fantastic quality, not too tedious or difficult, i had such a good time putting this together.

I'm a dad that bought this as a surprise for my young-adult daughter. I saw ads for these kind of DIY kits on either Insta or FB. I'm hesitant to buy anything that shows up on my feeds, so I usually search Amazon to see if it's for sale there, as well as the reviews. I'm so glad I bought this kit! My daughter and I had a blast building this adorable kit. All the wood parts have come out easily enough, but more importantly 'cleanly'. The lighting is great, everything fits well and I have zero complaints. One of the cats lost a tail because it was a bit fragile, so now we have a bobtail cat. I have a deep history of plastic model building and modifying, so I really do appreciate how well this kit is made and how nice it looks. Building this with my daughter has been so fun and something we both will always remember, at least I will! One more thing - we used the Bearly Art Precision Craft Glue (The Original) for most of the gluing. I used some StarBond Adhesives Thick CA (super glue) for the two parts recommended for 'super gluing'. I think the craft glue would have been just fine with proper time and holding of the part, but I have a ton of super glue, so I used their recommendation. I'd share a photo, but it honestly looks just like the pictures show, with no surprises.

This is one of the coolest, most satisfying little projects I have ever done! I am not a creative type, so I like that this is really just following directions like a LEGO set, but with little ways to make it ‘yours’. You get to build, design little floral arrangements, and wire the electrical circuits. The instructions are clear and the parts were all perfect. One suggestion toward the end: don’t glue on the lefthand panel until you have all of the street decor glued down (and do glue them down or they’ll slide all over when you pick it up). Some plastic things also didn’t hold with the wood glue so super glue is good to have on hand. It’s really fun for teens or adults (not littles). Highly recommend!

This book nook deserves a review. The amount of thoughts and details that went into making this possible is amazing. The angled mirror creating a perspective of a curved alley and text (on the sticker) being flipping to make it look correct when seen through mirror was excellent. The string lights along with the moss on top made it look really good at the end. Few things to mention: - This wasn't super easy and hence it is not the best for kids. Perfect for couples to spend the weekend. - It required a lot of additional stuff if you want it done perfectly. Super glue + White glue + Scissors + Tweezers + Batteries + Screw driver. - We didn't compromise on anything and so it took us quite long. - The only part where instructions weren't clear was related to cutting a silver wire. I ended up cutting it incorrectly but fortunately there was some extra. Tips: - The length of the string lights is important. Do it as close as possible to what is said in the instructions. - Do not glue the bookcase and the furniture before gluing the left wall. Just follow the instructions. - Do not avoid the lights. Lights are 80% of the reason it looks so good.

I have built about six book nooks and the MiniAlley Book Nook DIY Kit - Dreamy is one of my favorites. The parts are well made and fit together nicely, which made the build feel smooth and enjoyable. The instructions were clear and easy to follow, which really helped keep the process stress-free. Everything was well organized in the kit, and the final result looks great on a shelf. The LED lighting adds a nice touch and really brings the scene to life once it is finished. It feels like a thoughtful and well-designed kit overall. I would definitely recommend the MiniAlley Dreamy Book Nook Kit, especially if you enjoy miniature builds or book nook projects.

After helping my son with a book nook he received for his birthday, I became hooked. Compared to other options out there, this one is well detailed and far more grown up style wise (lots of cheese options out there that deviate from the original book nook concept). However, I don’t know that it’s $60 worth of detail and style. While pretty solid, the pieces are easily chipped and damaged - especially the smaller cut out pieces when trying to pop them out of the wooden sheets. Be prepared to problem solve. Some steps in the instructions can seem vague, or a little confusing. Don’t expect to be ready to go from the start of unboxing. I would recommend purchasing 2-3 bottles of super glue gel - and use it on most, if not all pieces. You’ll need tacky glue or similar for some of the details/decor pieces - don’t rely on Elmer’s to be strong enough (no glue is included). Have a pair of (very) fine tip/pointy tweezers, mini needle nose pliers and a tiny flathead (think eyeglass size) screwdriver on hand. Also some toothpicks, and something to mix glue/“moss” in. DON’T touch the “moss” with your bare hands if you can help it, it feels a lot like fiber glass. Would also recommend gluing all your furniture/decor in place before gluing the left panel into place. Overall, a fun enough experience, but seemingly overpriced

This was my first ever book nook build and I’m in love. The instructions were super thorough and easy to follow and the pieces were really good quality. The finished product is so beautiful. I highly recommend this kit!

The highest quality book nook out there. Lots of opportunities to customize and make it your own, if you want. Based on my experience with this kit, I would buy anything MiniAlley puts out. It's a beautiful world you create - so charming. You do have to glue, but that makes the end product so much more beautiful - no ugly tabs, etc. Decor is three dimensional - not a picture of a thing on a puzzle piece like many of these kits. Lights are very easy to install. Directions are clear. Just get some B7000 glue and enjoy yourself!
