I appreciate that while it ends up putting several layers around baby, it is lightweight, breathable cotton. On hot nights, I only used a short sleeve onesie underneath to prevent overheating. I wish there was a way to secure the end piece of fabric as it always scared me a little to have a loose piece hanging around, but it never got near his face. There is definitely a learning curve in trying to get it positioned and tightened perfectly for your baby.
