Goodbye dry skin
Recently bought this a few weeks ago because i noticed that I would occasionally wake up with *very* dry eyes, throat, and skin. My skin naturally is on the dryer side, but lately I noticed no matter how many times i reapplied my moisturizer my skin would remain dry as the sahara and would be very flakey. My eyes would be so dry it was painful, as i would immediately reach for eye drops first thing after waking up. This wasn't normal, I had never experienced such dryness. Usually my skin would be dry, but if i stayed consistent with skincare it would never remain flakey. Decided to buy this humidifier as it had good reviews and was affordable. Haven't used the essential oil pads yet. Overall performance of it is good. Even when turned on max setting my room doesn't feel wet, i guess it's just very dry in here lol. It's very easy to fill up. Lasts about roughly 10 hours on high, it's enough to get me through the night and a bit of morning. It's not complicated, set up was easy, and i think this would be a great product for anyone but especially elderly as the knob and the way it works is very simple. So far I haven't noticed an absolute life shattering difference, but if i remain consistent with my skincare then i don't have such dry flakey skin anymore. Dry eyes and throat is gone for now. My only complaint is that waking up after heat styling your hair is quite a disappointment as the humidity makes mine a bit puffy and frizzy, but thats a given lol it's called a humidifier for a reason, but i'd take that over feeling like the Sahara desert inside and out haha. I will say though, if you need a very powerful humidifier that'll turn your room completely moist, i would keep looking. But if you need a basic and simple humidifier i'd buy it. Night light feature is pleasant, not too bright, and can be turned off easily. Overall happy with my purchase 👍

I like it a lot, sadly it got broke Mar 14, 2025 during a windstorm
EDIT 24 Mar 2025: I haven't used the unit much since breaking it, just 2-3 times for a short period of time. I knew there was some white dust from using it, I just didn't now how much until now. When I cleaned the front filters of my computer case, which sits not too far from the humidifier but not right next to, the dust was white instead of brown, but it seemed like the normal amount that I would clean off before; and the top of the case I was always wiping dust off each day and it seems no worse when the humidifier runs, I think. But I was just told that when the furnace filter was changed it was covered in white dust when normally there's just some cat hair and maybe a little bit of other hair and dust noticeable to the person who usually changes it, so it seems that a lot of it is getting sucked in through the air return vent that's across the room from where the humidifier sits; I wouldn't doubt it is settling in the ducts, too. The furnace is in the basement under and slightly over from my room, so pretty close. My dresser, between the humidifier and the air return vent, was quite dusty on the top only, but I honestly couldn't say it's because of the humidifier since I'm a slacker and don't dust like I should (house is carpeted and stuff gets dusty very quickly). So now I'm debating if I should buy another or try again to find a decent one with a filter since we have hard water and buying filtered water isn't feasible. It's a shame because I otherwise like this one. 14 Mar 2025: I got this during the black Friday sale for about $23 and I've been using it since around December 5, 2024. It seems to work really well as long as the outside temp is at or above freezing, when the temp is at freezing or below it struggles to keep humidity at 20% (at least according to the hygrometer I have in my room). It's been easy to clean, so far, and any little bit of mold that showed up because I went too long between cleanings was easily taken care of. You do go through a lot of vinegar, though, if you're soaking it like the instructions say. I use the nightlight on it to know when I have it on, so if I run it at night (which is when I run it most) I have the light on; it's kind of bright, but not too bad for me. The auto shutoff works, but it rarely reaches that point; I did it once just to see if it worked like it's supposed to. I run the humidifier most often from around 2am until anywhere between 8am and Noon, just whenever I wake up and feel like turning it off. I only need to fill it once a day, if I use it a lot so it lasts a good while for my use. The downside is that today's (Mar 14, 2025) windstorm blew the unit off the kitchen counter where I had it drying after cleaning and broke it; I should have been smarter, but I didn't think it would happen (it survived all the other gusts, but this one must have been stronger). It's the vent area where the scent tray goes into that almost completely broke off, and I can't tell for sure but the tank my have loosened a bit or something, but I didn't see any leaks or anything that really sticks out when I checked to see if it still worked; the auto shutoff still functions, too. May end up having to buy another one, though.

Perfect device for daily use
I didn’t think I’d ever become “that person” who talks about their humidifier like it’s a pet, but here we are. This ASAKUKI humidifier quietly hums in the corner of my bedroom, turning the Sahara desert air from my heater into something my skin, nose, and even houseplants can actually live with. Setup & Design The first win: filling it is ridiculously easy. No awkward wrestling with a tank at the sink, no upside-down balancing acts while praying not to splash water everywhere. You just take off the top and pour. That’s it. I’ve owned other humidifiers where I felt like I needed an engineering degree and a raincoat to refill them, so this alone made me happy. It looks clean and modern — all white with a gentle blue glow when the night light is on. It doesn’t scream “medical device” like some humidifiers do. Instead, it blends in nicely, kind of like a minimalist piece of décor that just happens to make your room breathable. Performance For a 3L tank, it puts out a steady cool mist that easily covers my bedroom (and it’s not a tiny room). If you crank it up to max, it feels like you’re summoning a small weather system, which, in winter, is very welcome. On lower settings, it just quietly does its job in the background — so quietly, in fact, that I often forget it’s even running. I put it through the ultimate test: my morning routine. Normally I’d wake up with dry eyes, a sore throat, and feeling like I slept in a desert tent. After two nights with this thing? No more desert throat. Huge difference. Extras That Actually Make Sense The night light is a subtle touch. It’s not so bright that you feel like you’re in a hotel bathroom at 2 a.m., but just enough to be cozy. If you’re into essential oils, it doubles as a diffuser — I’ve used a couple drops of lavender oil and it really fills the room nicely without overwhelming. It’s also BPA-free (so safe for babies), auto shut-off (so no midnight panic about burning out the motor), and claims up to 30 hours of runtime. In my use, it comfortably lasts all night and into the next day before needing a refill, which is plenty. The Quirks There’s no digital display or fancy “smart” controls — it’s just a dial. Honestly, I kind of like that. Less to break, less to overthink. But if you’re a “control everything from your phone” kind of person, this isn’t it. On max setting, it can leave a little condensation on nearby surfaces if you park it right against a wall. Just give it some breathing room and it’s fine. Final Verdict For the price, this thing feels like a steal. Simple, quiet, effective, and surprisingly nice to look at. It’s one of those purchases you don’t realize how much you needed until you use it. My plants are happier, my skin is less cranky, and I don’t wake up feeling like I swallowed a bucket of sand. If you’re debating whether to get it: just do it. Worst case, you end up with a new “indoor weather machine” that also makes your room smell like a spa.

My favorite with some drawbacks
My favorite humidifier so far with some drawbacks. I've tried tons of humidifiers. My main goal is to find one that is easy to clean because if you can't reach all the crevices, you're putting mold into your air. These are the easiest to clean by far. There's a little circle float disc in the bottom. The cap comes off if you pull it. Most do not. Super easy to clean but buy some crevice cleaning tools on Amazon. Make sure you put painters tape over the vent at the top and the essential oil tray to keep water out when you clean it. Wish it was ETL or UL listed. I've ordered 3 of them. A little inconsistent with the knob control when trying to turn it down depending on the unit. Super quiet. It is annoying to advertise BPA free but when I reached out, they said only the basin can be confirmed as BPA free... wish people were more transparent in their ads. Knowing this is a cheap humidifier, it's pretty great. Some day there will be a truly BPA free one that's easy to clean.

A good buy
Nice little humidifier for small spaces. Works well, easy to clean, has a nightlight, and is quiet. You can control the mist level and trust me, you don't need it on high for it to work well. I have not encountered any leaks and when filled to the max line, the water lasts quite a long time if you don't set it to the max.

Be patient, use the manual
I received this yesterday and was anxious to get it going as we have been sick and I wanted to put essential oil Eucalyptus in the tray. The unit worked great for about an hour and then I noticed that it wasn't putting out much mist, especially at the lower settings on the dial. I let the water run out and I refilled it about halfway. I turned it on before I went to bed because I wanted to breathe in the eucalyptus. By morning it was putting out strong mist. And when I turned the dial to lower settings it was working much better. I again let it run until it shut off. The light stays on when it shuts off, by the way. And I refilled it all the way to the line with water. It wouldn't put out any mist. I had to take out about a third of the water and then it worked great. I think you have to be conscientious of how much water you start with and you also need to watch the temperature of the water. Room temperature water is recommended and seems to work best.. at least so far. The unit comes with a very helpful manual with troubleshooting actions for a variety of possible problems. I initially was planning on returning the unit but after giving it some time I figured out the problem waa probably something I was doing wrong. I can't really say if the unit is helping with the humidity in our house because it has only been running for a day. But it does seem like it will be helpful when we are experiencing chest congestion, especially since you can use essential oil pads with. I ordered some additional pads online. As of right now I am very satisfied with the product and the price. If my opinion changes I will be sure to write an update.

GREAT!
I wanted to use this humidifier for awhile before writing a review! I ordered this in August and it is now December and this has been a wonderful humidifier. I bought this not only for the moisture, but for the fact that it gives off light. I have a child that sleeps in my bed who has asthma, I have extreme dry mouth and nasal passages, and I just had a brand new baby. The moisture level is great and fills the air with just the turn of a knob. I love that it’s easy to control and it doesn’t use up the water in 30 minutes like other humidifiers I have purchased in the past. Now the light was so that I could see the baby in the middle of the night without waking up my husband and other child. It gives off a good amount of light for whatever you may need to do to care for baby at bedside in the middle of the night without waking anyone up, but not good enough for poopy diaper changing. There is no color change for the light, it is only blue, but still powerful enough to see. That wasn’t a deal breaker for me though because there is so much more to like about it. A couple more details I liked are that it is so quiet! I mean the noise level is nonexistent and the size is perfect and takes up minimal space. Another detail is that you can see it working as soon as you put water into it. Other humidifiers, I had to add just a little salt to it. I didn’t have to do that with this one. Also, it comes with a little essential oil pad that gives off a wonderful smell. It fills the whole room. I would definitely recommend this humidifier and am actually going to purchase another because it is so wonderful.

Effective and affordable
I’ve only had this for one day, but so far I love it. It’s super quiet. The light level is comfortable, and it was just really easy to figure out. I love that it’s cool air mist. I’ve had it on all night and all morning, and it’s still going from the first time I filled it up, which is pretty amazing! Very affordable. Great quality. The design is sleek. The water capacity is perfect. I recommend this product!
