Review: Brilliant TV, amazing picture, super good value for money - brilliant install experience too - Our telly broke last Sunday after 10 years of use so after a bit of research, I bought this along with the desertcart basics TV wall bracket - the whole process has been smooth and easy from start to finish. The telly - really impressive for the price - the 4K picture is sharp with dolby vision adding depth and detail to whatever you’re watching - watched the Back to the Future trilogy at the weekend and they looked fantastic - the colours are vibrant without being overblown - watched Netflix on Sunday night and my daughter was watching YouTube videos on Monday while I was working from home - the picture looks great. The VIDAA system is simple and it comes loaded with all the essential apps - Netflix, Disney+, NOW TV, YouTube, Freely - wish Sky was on there though. The install service - I opted for free the installation add-on and I’m so glad I did - the installer was a guy named James, he turned up on time, was super friendly, professional and clearly knew what he was doing - I was his 8th stop of the day and that's what he was doing all the time - deliveries and installations. He mounted the telly securely on the desertcart basics wall bracket I also bought. But it wasn’t just a wall mount job - he went the extra mile - he connected and set up my Sky box, Blu-ray player and made sure everything was properly wired - hooked it all up to my router, updated the firmware and checked the apps were working - he gave everything a thorough test and made sure all the inputs worked and the TV was calibrated - he tidied up cables neatly and gave me a few tips about the settings. To top it off, he was just a genuinely nice bloke - we ended up having a bit of a talk and it a very hot day so we had an ice cold Pepsi while he worked - it honestly felt like having a mate round rather than just a delivery/install job - you really can’t ask for better service. If you’re considering this TV, I would definitely recommend - the picture and sound punch way above the £250 odd price - the install service took all the stress out of the equation too.
Review: Great TV so far; even if I fell through the old one - I'm not sure whether I set the TV up or if I just clicked a few buttons whilst the TV set itself up; it was so quick and easy to install. I did have a 50" Hisense TV I was perfectly happy with, but unfortunately due to myself, an unfortunate tumble and a curtain pole; I shattered it beyond repair. I ordered this as a replacement and it came the next day; delivered by lovely couriers from ArrowXL. I was concerned seeing other reviews about the sound quality and planned a sound bar in the future if needed; however this one is much, much better than the old one for sound quality. I had to have the old one on about 22 in the living room to hear well; this one is clear at 14/16. I'm one for settings so I checked the sound and picture mode; finding one that worked well. It's heavier than the old television marginally and a little thicker; however that's okay as it is a bigger screen. The picture is clear and lovely and I'm really happy with it and especially as it was a lower price than the original TV but seems much better. I'm not a big fan on the amount of themed buttons on the top of the remote; could do without those personally but it synced up to my firestick without any setup, and the firestick remote automatically controls the TV too (again with no setup, just right away). It ran a quick update after being first setup; and the OS seems quick enough and responsive too. I'm very happy and honestly always think of and come back to Hisense as they always have a reasonable price compared to other brands. UPDATE: I'm writing this on 30/06/25 and I can still say the TV is really good; still fast and clear and I've had no issues with it. Everything about still tracks.
