Best in class
If I'm not mistaken, cause it's been a while since I've written reviews, these are the New Balances I got with the composit toe. If that's correct, they are the best composite toe shoes I've ever owned. Arch support, Comfort, Valvue, Design, And easy to air out.

Great shoes!
Ive been wearing these to work daily for over 9 months now. This doesn’t sound like a long time but I’m a big guy and tend to beat up shoes realatively quickly. I’ve dropped numerous heavy objects on my toes and even got them stuck under a walk-behind electric pallet jack once (oops!). I’m glad to say they’ve held up to all of it and kept my toes safe at the same time. They do fit a little looser in the toe than a normal new balance sneaker but that’s because of the ample toe box. They are every bit as comfortable as a normal sneaker which is good when you’re on your feet all day. I try to never leave the house without them since I’m so accustomed to the composite toe. It’s amazing how many things you can drop on your toes in a day. They are only slightly heavier than a standard sneaker and after the first day you don’t even recognize it anymore. The lace aglets have worn off but that’s my fault for occasionally walking out to the car without tying them. Otherwise they have not yet failed like all my other shoes have. The sole is still fully attached and not worn all the way down yet (big guys wear them down quicker). Normally I wear out a pair of similar shoes in 6 months. They were well worth the money and even though I got them On sale (~65) I’d still buy them at MSRP if I had to.

Solid pair for Construction
True to size. I wear size 14 and it does not hit the toes. Space between sole and composite shell. Not a tight fit but snugs well and does not feel too loose. The fluidity of walking does flow well when you walk heel to toe. It does have some weight to the pair but it doesn't feel too heavy. The insole is not as comfortable, although it is part of the shoes for Electrical Static Dissipation. I suggest getting better insoles for comfort. Everyone's feet are different. Try it with the provided insoles and see if you might need to change up. I wear these with extra cushioned socks. It looks stylish. Not just for construction work. Can be used for whenever hard -shell shoes are required. I'd give a 4.5 stars but didn't want to round up. Great pair of shoes.

Wonderful purchase
I bought this for my husband who struggles with ingrown toenail problems. He’s a 330 lbs size 14 wide. We purchased extra wide size 15 and it worked out perfectly for him. Comfortable day one with no break in period. He’s a street sweeper and on and off his feet. Has been durable so far and we’ve definitely seen the improvement with his feet. We purchased 2 other boots prior to this one from Cat and another from Keen. Great shoes, just were too narrow for his caveman feet. But these were perfect. Fits true to size. With thinner socks it’s definitely room but not falling off. With thicker socks he still has room to wiggle the toes and walk about comfortably. Would purchase again.

Good shoe, narrow toe box
I normally wear regular width shoes from New Balance. This was my first time buying their safety shoes, and I found that the regular width toe box was painfully narrow. I ordered a wide size, and it's much better. It's slightly too wide in most of the shoe, but it's livable. I added some insoles with a bit of an arch , which help to keep my feet from sliding around in the shoes. I also put some felt pads over the edge of the toe box on one side where it was rubbing my toes. (I cut some strips from adhesive felt pads meant to stick under furniture.) So, it took a bit of fiddling, but I now have a comfortable pair of safety shoes.

Fairly Comfortable Work Shoes
I bought these shoes for the safety features. The composite toe and non-slip tread are great. My shoe size is 16AA. The narrowest width offered is probably a D, which is way too wide for me. I use orthotics in my shoes, but thought I'd try these shoes with the provided inserts first. Bad idea. My feet, ankles and legs were hurting pretty badly on day two after having walked about 12 miles in those two days. I had the weekend to recover, so I put the orthotics in before returning to work on Monday. The comfort has been much better since then, but my feet still slide side to side because the D width is just way too wide. I have a pair of Fresh Foam NB shoes which fit great because they're 16 Narrow. I don't use my orthotics in them because the shoes support my feet much better. The tread on these shoes is quite deep and small rocks get easily lodged in them. Clean out the rocks before walking on hardwood flooring so you don't damage the flooring. The toe box is very comfortable, even with my neuropathy. Because the tread is so thick, these almost feel like Herman Munster shoes. Pedal feel in my car is very vague compared to other, thinner soled shoes I wear. I average walking about 5.5 miles per day in my job. Though these shoes are much heavier than other shoes I own, the weight doesn't seem excessive. Because of my feet size, it's very difficult to find shoes that fit well. Sometimes I have to compromise fit for function. I do own a pair of Redwing boots which are size 15D, with a composite toe, and they're surprisingly comfortable. I use them for motorcycling.

Not bad
For what it cost, i feel like I got a good pair of quality work shoes. Strong toe, anti slip, and a consideration for ESD. Honestly a good deal. Its more comfortable than the previous boots I had, easier to run. Some people do prefer high tops, and these do not have that. Only knit-pick was the shoebox looks like it was destroyed well before it was placed in the shipping bag. Although it didn’t seem like the shoes had been use before, so that was a plus. Despite that, its easy to walk, work, easy to slip on. I went with the wide version and the fits was perfect. Would buy again.

I have been using this shoe for 11 months now. I am an event crew member (stage crew), so there is a lot of kicking which explains the marks on the front. Although, the shoe is sturdy enough, a couple of days ago the cover from inside started to peeling off. I had a job where the grass was wet (didn't raining) and near the toe the inner cover just gone loose. However, grip of the sole is really amazing. For me the comfort feeling is just average in this price category. This is why I rated average the shoe as well. I could get a steelies for half of the price which last a year.
