Brilliant TV, amazing picture, super good value for money - brilliant install experience too
Our telly broke last Sunday after 10 years of use so after a bit of research, I bought this along with the Amazon basics TV wall bracket - the whole process has been smooth and easy from start to finish. The telly - really impressive for the price - the 4K picture is sharp with dolby vision adding depth and detail to whatever youโre watching - watched the Back to the Future trilogy at the weekend and they looked fantastic - the colours are vibrant without being overblown - watched Netflix on Sunday night and my daughter was watching YouTube videos on Monday while I was working from home - the picture looks great. The VIDAA system is simple and it comes loaded with all the essential apps - Netflix, Disney+, NOW TV, YouTube, Freely - wish Sky was on there though. The install service - I opted for free the installation add-on and Iโm so glad I did - the installer was a guy named James, he turned up on time, was super friendly, professional and clearly knew what he was doing - I was his 8th stop of the day and that's what he was doing all the time - deliveries and installations. He mounted the telly securely on the Amazon basics wall bracket I also bought. But it wasnโt just a wall mount job - he went the extra mile - he connected and set up my Sky box, Blu-ray player and made sure everything was properly wired - hooked it all up to my router, updated the firmware and checked the apps were working - he gave everything a thorough test and made sure all the inputs worked and the TV was calibrated - he tidied up cables neatly and gave me a few tips about the settings. To top it off, he was just a genuinely nice bloke - we ended up having a bit of a talk and it a very hot day so we had an ice cold Pepsi while he worked - it honestly felt like having a mate round rather than just a delivery/install job - you really canโt ask for better service. If youโre considering this TV, I would definitely recommend - the picture and sound punch way above the ยฃ250 odd price - the install service took all the stress out of the equation too.

Good price for quality
Very impressed with this TV for the price point. The 4K picture is sharp, with good colour balance and decent contrast for everyday viewing. Streaming apps run smoothly, and the smart interface is easy to navigate. Sound quality is acceptable for regular use, although a soundbar would enhance the experience. Setup was quick and straightforward. Overall, excellent value for a 43โ 4K smart TV.

Solid TV
I got the Hisense 43โ 4K TV for my grandmother and me to use, and itโs worked out really well. She mainly watches her regular shows, and sheโs had no trouble using it the remote is clear, the menu is simple, and she figured it out quickly. For me, the picture looks great for movies and streaming, and it works nicely for gaming too. Itโs smooth enough, and the colours look really good. Sound is fine for everyday use, and setup only took a few minutes. Overall, itโs a solid TV for the price and perfect for both easy day-to-day watching and casual gaming.

Great decent TV for the price๐. But the speakers are poor ๐
I purchased a 65-in version of this TV overall I'm very happy with the purchase but there's one or two niggles with it. First of all the TV speakers are very tiny and not very good but just about acceptable but you can get better sound if you turn off the digital processes like digital bass boost and surround sound and one or two others. I advise anyone who appreciates decent sound I would invest in a sound bar. Also every time you go to the picture settings you get an energy warning sign on screen if you need to adjust the settings which is just irritating. There is no Freeview but replaced with freely so far has been hit and miss because the picture keep freezing every so often and pixelating on the free HD channels like BBC iTV channel 4 and 5 and I never had this problem on my old Toshiba with the aerial with Freeview. Also it doesn't give you the option to swap from freely back the Freeview which would like to see. Hisense told me it may be a bad signal from my aerial or internet for the unstable freely but that is not true the signal was 100% and broadband is working fine. Easy to install and to set up that was not a problem. Picture quality I must say is excellent at this price point and I didn't expect to get OLED quality for ยฃ389. There are different picture settings to choose from but I would advise in my opinion to go into the picture settings and tweak them they get the right colour brightness and contrast etc to your personal taste. Full HD is excellent quality and 4K HDR+10 and Dolby vision can be outstanding๐ if you got the right picture settings and as I said just play around a bit with the settings and if you're using a fire stick or similar make sure you set the HDMI input to the enhanced mode in the settings and this will up scale the picture quality. There is a small amount of screen bleed around some parts of the edges in dark scenes but this is to be expected at this price point for this type of TV but hopefully that will settle down in time. Yes overall I would recommend this tv for the price but invest in a sound bar even a cheap basic one would be a lot better than the internal speakers and I'm not exaggerating ๐๐. UPDATE 18/07/25. I've received an software update and now the freely is working fine.๐

An excellent TV for the price!
Our old Hisense TV in the bedroom, decided to hand its cap in after 8+ years faithful service. We have found this 43" TV to be an excellent replacement. We were immediately amazed by the quality of the display - every bit as good as our new ยฃ600+ TV in the lounge! Our terrestrial TV antenna and BT FTTP Internet both terminate in the main bedroom which, therefore, is where we have sited our EE Hub and EE TV boxes. As such, a Freely TV made sense. It's not an essential but does, to a degree, future-proof us. If you have owned a Hisense TV before, setup is straightforward if a tad tedious. This TV uses the latest VIDAA OS 7.6. The biggest change is with some of the menus (eg. "Inputs") moving from the top of the display to its LHS. I connected to our home LAN (rather than WiFi) and plugged in the aerial connector. As such, after scanning, the EPG seamlessly shows all channels - both terrestrial and Internet. As more channels move to the Internet, the TV will (reportedly) automatically update the source and EPG accordingly. However, channel numbering is a tad odd! Sound quality is not overwhelming but is adequate. I have connected a Sharp sound bar (via HDMI3) which greatly improves matters. Using HDMI3 means the sound bar is seen as a CEC device so, its volume and power are automatically managed by the TV remote. Our EE TV box uses HDMI1 and our Roku box HDMI2 (which it shares with our Panasonic BluRay player via an HDMI switch). I did get confused connecting the sound bar which initially refused to work. I had plugged the device into HDMI1 (as per our old Hisense TV). When I realised HDMI3 was used for CEC devices on this TV, everything worked as I wanted! A real case of RTFM..... A couple of other points to note:- - There are only 3 HDMI sockets. 4+ would have been nice. - While the EPG has a full channel list, it does not have the features of Freeview Play+ (eg. +/- 7 days programme information). - VIDAA is a closed system with a limited number of Apps. However, it does include the important BBC, ITV, C5, C5, NOW, and U TV players etc. - Alas, the VIDAA version of the PLEX App has a number of long standing and annoying bugs. - As such, we tend to NOT use VIDAA Apps (except for Freely) as we have a Roku 4K box. This covers all our App needs (and includes a much better version of PLEX). - We use a wall mount for the TV. However, if you want to use the feet provided in the box, note that they are a fixed distance apart (~76cm). That said, the above are minor concerns and, given the fantastic price, do not detract from our 5-star rating. Indeed, we are distinctly chuffed ๐ ๐ ๐ Quick delivery was also appreciated. A final note - with 4 devices, we have the hindrance of 4 remote controls. As such, I also purchased an "All for One" URC-3661 remote control. This has proved to be convenient for controlling all 4 devices (this TV, EE TV box, Roku Box and Panasonic BluRay). I will review that separately.

Smaller than it looks. Buggy
Update March 6th 2025 The issue with the TV Randomly, not recognising signals from HDMIis worse after a factory reset than before. I have checked all these devices and cables on another TV and they are working fine. The issue is with Hisense TV's while looking for suggestions on how to fix I repeatidley come across others who have the same issue with HIsense TV's so apparently it is common with this brand. (TO Seller I am likley to loose a job because your tv would not recognise hdmi input from my computer this morning. I would like a refund please.) My old tv was 4 years old was much larger than this and that was a 43 inch also. This one seems to have a compatibility issue with Alexa. I set up the application linked Alexa, but the only thing Alexa can do is turn it off and on. Also, Alexa seems to get commands to Spotify confused with commands to this tv. I will figure it out in time I'm not to bothered as I got it in sale. But it might be an issue for other people if they are are paying full price and don't know how to resolve the problem Update Alexa issue remains. New issue that I have noticed with Vida Art, it will not let you download pictures from a Deviant Art account. As Deviant Art seems to be the default picture provider, I would expect this functionality for customising the images used in the Wallpaper Function. Further, when turning the TV off it goes in to sleep mode and does not turn off. This is a huge waste of electricity. I may have gotten it in a sale, but issues mounting up are beginning to bug me. The TV has a setting that turns the power off at a specific time. This does not work at all. The TV does not recognise HDMI input from my PC while the PC during POST, (Power-ON Self-Test), how am I supposed to know if POST fails? How am I supposed to correct the issue in the BIOS or at the command prompt? This is my primary screen for my computer, and as it stands, I wouldn't say I am not impressed, I would say I am far from Impressed. 17/02/2025 Still having issues with this tv. I would like a refund.
