Creative Pebble X 2.0 USB-C Computer Speakers with Customizable RGB Lighting, Bluetooth 5.3, USB Audio, Up to 15W RMS Power for PC and Mac

I use these for computer gaming and the sound quality is, as the title says, fantastic. I did have some issues setting them up, but that’s because of sight problems and no colour vision. The light for different modes switches between different colours, which I can’t see. Took a little longer than it will for most, but I did manage to get them set-up correctly. A point to consider… The default sound is rather flat, so downloading and configuring the app is recommended, or they won’t sound as good 😉. One downside, but this may just be personal to me, the bluetooth connecting/pairing voice is EXTREMELY loud, with no way of lowering the volume, so to bypass this I use the USB-C connection, no voice at all, they just silently connect and work flawlessly 👍😊.

These speakers look gorgeous, with a choice of RGB light settings. The sound is very good, although the bass is a little lacking due to the lack of a subwoofer. I love the volume knob meaning you don't have to fiddle about with settings, the fact that it powers through the USB C cable (no bulky power brick), and the easily accessible headphone/microphone sockets.

Sound is OK, but good enough for the price. USB-C makes life a whole lot easier. Volume is plenty loud enough in my home office If you’re an audiophile then you’ll be wanting to spend a lot more money. If you’re just looking for something compact and easy to use to listen to music whilst working, this will do fine.

Sound quality is pretty good , bought as a gift. Set up was quick and they are still working after over a year.

All I can say (and remain polite) is blinking wonderful product, I've used the small Pebbles but these are more like Boulders! Not to be missed. Will be getting a spare set ASAP - use the extra power mode, you won't regret it 😉

Not that bad, but also not that good

First impressions - these were bigger than I anticipated from the photos! Bought to use under a TV in my office. Sound quality is good for the price, easy to connect. Personally, I don't see the point of flashy lights so turned that feature off. Overall pleased with purchase.

These speakers are good by themselves when using my Mac Mini to power them. But they are awesome speakers if you power them with a 30W+ power adapter. So much more powerful in every respect. The only thing that would make them better is if the cord that connects the speakers were a bit longer. It’s not quite long enough to sit either side of my 2 x 27 inch monitors. I am a bit disappointed that 2 days after purchasing them here on Amazon from the Creative store, I found them $30 cheaper on the Creative website.

Bassu w nich to raczej malo :/

I rarely write a review but in this case these speakers prompted me to make one. This is truely a GREAT BUY for €100. I am a certified audiphile (I have both hifi and home cinema gear worth over 6000 euro's) and while these speakers are ofcourse not HIFI they are certainly capable speakers and good enough for 99% users out there. Please mind that you DO NEED THE POWER USB-C to get the speakers to sound excellent, if you are low powering them they sound ''ok'', you will miss the extended and extra volume in the bass. They look nice, have fun RGB effects and are perfect for a PC user like me. The software on the PC is great; RGB highly customizable, customizable EQ, different sound profiles. They can connect through BT / AUX 3.5MM and USB, I personally use the USB connection which will give you the best sound. People complaining they should include the power adapter need to get real, for 100 euro's this is a very high bang for the buck item. Downside; I have a 34'' screen monitor and a multi monitor setup, the cable linking the two speakers together is on the short side so keep that in mind, the distance is slightly wider than my 34'' screen monitor but i can't place them next to the second screen (which is vertically oriented) so they are just side to side of my main screen now.

Ich habe die Creative Pebble Pro und X mit der Presonus Eris 3.5 (Version ohne Bluetooth) verglichen. Im Hörtest hatte ich verschiedene Musikrichtungen (EDM, Heavy Metal, Klassik) und gesprochenes Audio (z.B. Testberichte auf Youtube). Zum Zeitpunkt dieser Rezension kosteten die Pebble Pro ca. 50€, die Pebble X ca. 80€ und die Eris mit Bluetooth ca. 125€. (Bei mir sind die Eris über ein Audiointerface mit dem Rechner verbunden, das kostet aber nochmal 80€. Also sollte man im Vergleich mit der Pebble Pro/X eher die Eris 3.5BT in Betracht ziehen.) Fazit zuerst, Einzelheiten unten, falls es Sie interessiert (TL;DR :-)): Alle drei Boxen im Test machen einen guten Job für ihre jeweilige Preisklasse, d.h. keine der Boxen klingt "schlecht". - Bei kleinem Budget oder wenig Platz würde ich mich für die Pebble Pro entscheiden (wenn das das Hauptargument ist). - Wenn der Platzbedarf auch wichtig ist (wenn die Boxen z.B. unter den Monitor passen sollen), man aber mehr Wert auf guten HiFi-Sound legt und hauptsächlich Musik hören oder Videos schauen möchte, haben die Pebble X erstaunlich viel "Wumms" für das Geld. - Wenn man vorhat, mit den Boxen evtl. auch Musik abzumischen, eine "originalgetreuere" Abbildung des Klangmaterials oder eine feinere räumliche Differenzierung möchte und den Platz hat, sollte man auf jeden Fall eher die Eris nehmen. --- Vor- und Nachteile der Kandidaten im Einzelnen: --- Bei allen drei Boxen wird die Box mit einem Kabel an den Strom angeschlossen, ein weiteres Kabel verbindet die linke und rechte Box. Das Kabel ist bei den Eris deutlich am längsten (vielleicht 2m?), bei der Pebble X wohl länger als bei den Pro, aber das habe ich nicht gemessen. (1) Pebble Pro Vorteile gegenüber den anderen im Test: + sehr kompakt (12cm hoch und breit) + für die kleine Größe wirklich guter Sound, klare Sprachverständlichkeit + im Design gefällt mir der LED-Ring an der Basis besser als die seitlichen LEDs der Pebble X Nachteile: - der Klang ist sehr "processed" (d.h. durch Software wird hier versucht, die kleinen Boxen größer klingen zu lassen als sie sind. Das gelingt auch, wie gesagt, sie klingen wirklich gut (!), aber wenn man z.B. EDM etwas lauter im Vergleich hört, klingen sie gegen die anderen doch eher wie "Brüllwürfel" :-). (obwohl sie ECHT GUT klingen, nochmal gesagt!) - der Klang ist sehr mittenbetont - klar, bei der Größe bleibt ihnen auch nichts anderes übrig, aber das sorgt einerseits für gute Textverständlichkeit z.B. bei Youtube-Videos, andererseits aber dafür, dass z.B. bei einem EDM-Riser (der Teil vor dem Drop ;-) ) einem schnell die Ohren "klingeln" durch die Geräuschkulisse. - sie haben keinen "echten" Ein/Aus-Schalter - im Design finde ich das goldene Creative-Logo auf der linken Box weniger attraktiv als das schwarze auf der Pebble X) :-) (2) Pebble X Vorteile gegenüber den anderen im Test: + Musik klingt (teilweise viel) besser als auf der Pro, sie haben so viel Bass dass der Schreibtisch vibriert, und das meine ich positiv :-) + trotzdem ist die Textverständlichkeit in gesprochenen Videos genauso gut wie bei der Pro (Die Unterschiede sind für diese Anwendung kaum hörbar - das war ein Punkt der in manchen online-Tests, die ich mir angeschaut habe, anders behauptet wurde. Für meine Ohren ist die Textverständlichkeit bei der X kein bisschen schlechter als bei der Pro.) + die Abstimmung der Boxen ist mehr "HiFi" als die der Eris, sie klingen dadurch teilweise "luftiger" (oder "transparenter"? Schwer zu definieren...), jedenfalls macht es Spaß, mit ihnen Musik zu hören (im Vergleich zu der Pro, die auf Dauer halt doch etwas "angestrengter" klingt) + sie sind mit ca. 14cm Höhe/Breite immer noch sehr kompakt und gut als Computerlautsprecher zu benutzen Nachteile: - sie klingen mehr "processed" als die Eris (also weniger "originalgetreu"?), aber wie gesagt, sie klingen wirklich gut und der Bass haut einen um für die Größe, ohne dass sie Basslastig klingen - im Gegensatz zur Pro brauchen sie ein USB-Netzteil, um ihre Leistung voll ausspielen zu können, dann werden sie bei Bedarf aber auch SEHR laut ;-) - wie die Pro: kein echter Ein/Aus-Schalter, man muss den Volume-Knopf 2s halten, dann gehen sie in Standby - die "Klangbühne" ist nicht so räumlich wie bei der Eris. Ich hätte das echt nicht gedacht, aber ich hatte die Pebble und die Eris direkt nebeneinander stehen (also die jeweils linke und rechte Box), und im direkten Umschalten bei gleichem Klangmaterial merkt man, dass die Eris das Stereosignal besser "differenziert". Die Pebble X klingen auch hier super, aber die Räumlichkeit oder "Sterobühne" ist bei den Eris tatsächlich besser/breiter. --- NB: es gibt zwei in der Anleitung nicht dokumentierte Funktionen des Volume-Knopfes: (a) den Knopf einmal kurz drücken: Mute ein/aus (b) den Knopf doppelklicken: Sprachassistent ein/aus (sonst spricht die Box mit einem, wenn sie z.B. in den Pairing-Mode geht, das kann man damit regeln) --- (3) Eris 3.5 Vorteile gegenüber den anderen im Test: + ganz klar der beste Sound im Vergleich (kein Wunder, sie sind nicht nur teurer, sondern auch größer als die Pebble und haben getrennte Bass- und Höhen-Treiber ;-) ) + mehr Studiomonitore als HiFi-Boxen, damit kann man auch mal lange Musik hören ohne dass die Ohren müde werden (aber wer ernsthaft abmischen will, wird eh in eine andere Preisklasse schauen - da würd ich mal bei den JBL LSR305 anfangen zu suchen) + genial räumliche Stereobühne (s.o.) + rein bauartbedingt haben sie schon den besten Bass im Vergleich + Ein/Aus-Schalter an der Vorderseite + von den Anschlüssen her studiotauglich, Trim-Regler für Bässe und Höhen auf der Rückseite Nachteile: - größer und teurer als die anderen beiden Kandidaten - man muss einen Ständer dazu kaufen, die Pebble sind bereits abgewinkelt (Empfehlung: abgeschrägten Schaumstoff oder z.B. den Kanto S2 - der ist zwar etwas schmal für die Eris, aber es passt) --- Ich hoffe, der Vergleich war hilfreich! Ich hatte die Eris übrigens schon und sie hängen an meinem "Musikmachrechner", während ich für meinen Arbeitsrechner die Pebble X behalten habe.

Non avevo aspettative di suono particolari su queste Creative, marchio che comunque ha una sua storia e che ho usato in passato per i miei primi impianti home theater su pc quasi 20 anni fa. Da allora non ho più acquistato molto altro dal marchio di Singapore, fino ad oggi. E sono rimasto sorpreso di quanto valide possano essere queste due casse. Premetto che stavo cercando delle casse da poter usare come monitoraggio per i miei mix musicali, ma lo spazio che ho a disposizione è molto poco e già occupato da altre cose, per cui avevo bisogno di qualcosa di compatto da poter mettere sulla scrivania, possibilmente senza spendere una cifra elevata. Tra tutte le possibili soluzioni ho trovato che queste pebble x potevano fare al caso mio... E in effetti così è. Dimensioni giuste che garantisco una buona potenza se collegate ad un alimentatore usb a 30w...suoni chiari, che non arrivano a distorcere neanche a volume massimo, con buoni bassi garantiti dai bass reflex posteriori , certo non è come avere il woofer collegato, ma restituiscono una buona densità sonora per il tipo di cassa. Tipo di collegamento USB e mini jack, con entrate microfono sulle casse per chi ne avesse bisogno. Utilizzate anche per altre attività, come il gaming, offrono buona spazialità dinamica. Bella anche l'estetica , funzionale e inseribile in diversi contesti, soft e d'ambiente l'effetto rgb che può comunque essere disattivato. Per la qualità e le dimensioni, rapportate al loro costo, mi sento si consigliarle a chiunque sia in cerca di una soluzione compatta ma efficace.
