ABC6WH Light and Draught Reducing Airbrick Cowl Hood Cover, White

I liked that it was sturdy and did the job. Sure, there was like a gazillion percent markup on the price versus cost to manufacture, but comparable to the price of a couple of beers, so worth it. I’ve been meaning to fit one of these for years. Job done. Just what I needed.

After fitting these 9 x 6 Cowls to 4 Airbricks at the back of my Garage, I'm finally free from the driving wind and water seepage entering through the Airbricks. As others have said the fixing holes could have been a little bigger, however it wasn't a problem, a slight adjustment with a needle file made for a more comfortable line up and fix. Cowls were going onto Roughcast, so to get a flatter fix, I marked out the area and flattened down with a Hammer, then applied a bead of Mastic before fixing.

The vent cowl arrived quickly and is as described, it was fitted the same day, job done. Thanks

Attractivness and ability to protect fromall sides.

Pricey for a bit of plastic, but works a treat. No more wet garage wall when the wind blows the rain in its direction.
