A lot of bang for your buck
I was after a cheap action camera for use while cycling. I didn't want to spend on top brand devices, as it would only be used infrequently. Obviously with a lower price, there are sacrifices.. Usually with image quality. For me I didn't need the best high-res 4K image, with the best lens, but still had a high expectation of image quality. After much research of products across Amazon, I settled on this Apexcam Action Camera. Never personally heard of the brand before. There was a deal on, and thought I'd take a punt as reviews looked good, as did image quality. Not only do you get the camera, you get every type of mounting that you can think of... It came with 2 small batteries and a neat little charger that will charge both (together) as well as being a MicroSD card reader in one unit. Build quality of the Camera/batteries and charger unit are fantastic, and would be something that you would see on more expensive products. There is an external remote control that you can use to take photos, switch between video and photos. There is no touch screen to this model, but once you get your head around what buttons do what, it's pretty easy to use. Video/picture quality is really great for the price. I wasn't expecting anything ground-breaking with the cost, but overall its exceeded expectations. Yes the sky does get blown out a little, but I have seen far worse. The image is crisp and clear, and the image stabilisation does the job! I did have one small issue, that Support were able to resolve for me.. They were very responsive and I have been suitably impressed. Overall you get a LOT of 'bang for your buck'.. If you want a better than average cheap action camera, with a ton of accessories, you really cannot fault it. I highly recommend it.

Video playback
I can't comment on the playback video as I've not put a card in it yet but it was easy to install despite the fact you get a million things to use (this is a plus), very steady and water is yet to penetrate the case. VERY EASY TO REMOVE FAST, found the clip on the case very useful, all in all it is a great camera

Good value item with lots of included accessories.
Good value camera which comes with an SD card and waterprooof case, plus attachements to allow it to be used with a chest harness, helmet, bike crossbars, tripod or a hand held mount. The menu system seems a bit clunky until you get the hang of it, but a 30 page manual can be downloaded if you want more info than is provided via the included "Quick Start" guide. You also receive a spare battery and a charging pod, but the batteries can also be recharged in situ via the provided lead. It claims a 60 minute battery life which should be more than sufficient for when I take it on a snorkelling trip next month. There is also a remote control unit to make shooting easier, which the manual confirms in NOT waterproof. The pictures and video quality appear to be good, but I'll have more of an idea once my technical advisor (daughter) pairs the camera with the App on my phone so that I can download the pictures and access them on my computer.

Excellent little camera!
If you’re new to action cameras like me and want to film adventures on a budget, the Apexcam M80 AIR 4K Action Camera is really brilliant! It’s easy to use, packed with accessories, and great value. I love using it for bike rides and seaside trips. The box is full of gear—helmet and bike mounts, a waterproof case, a wrist remote, two batteries, and a carrying case. I won’t use everything, but the waterproof case is fantastic for filming in the sea. Setup was simple: I popped in my 64GB memory card, and it was ready in seconds. The clear screen and buttons are so easy, I skipped the manual. I’ve filmed cycling, kayaking, and snorkelling. The threaded mount lets me attach it to my helmet or bike, staying secure for exciting shots. The 4K videos are clear and colourful—way better than my phone—perfect for sharing. Photos are good too. The WiFi and app are handy. I connect to my phone to view shots or share clips quickly. The wrist remote is great for starting recordings while cycling (not for use underwater!). The batteries last about an hour each, and with two, I’m set for a day. Charging is easy, though swapping batteries resets the date, which is a small bother. It’s small, tough, and survives drops. The waterproof case is reliable in rain. For the price, it’s a steal, making my videos look impressive. If you’re a beginner, this camera is a fantastic, fun choice!

Very grainy picture. Recording initiation or continuation problems.
I bought his reading; how wonderful the reviews were! Then it seemed like a brilliant value item to buy. However, on receiving it, the quality of the picture was very, very grainy, like being on a first-generation smartphone from 15 years ago. And it would have problems in recording, starting, and continuing; sometimes it would auto-stop. Then there was trouble in terms of connecting it to your Windows Microsoft laptop with Windows 11 to transfer the files; sometimes there will be no files despite being recorded, or there would be files, but it's only showing some of the recordings that were done. It's a very nice size. Some of the accessories were missing, and the design is nice. Customer support was zero inside; there was no choice between the items straightaway.

Good camera, substandard waterproof housing
Camera itself is very good but the underwater case i was sent broke the first time i used it.....day 1 of a 14 day holiday on the Red Sea. No underwater photos after that.

Amazing camera.
Very good quality! Battery lasts ages, and it’s very good value for money! 50 pounds is a very good price for this

A really good camera for the money
I bought this camera because I wanted one that is fairly simple to use and could be adapted for wearing so that I could video my dog when we are out walking, for training purposes. A big plus is that the camera comes with a proper printed instruction manual in my language, which meant I could quickly work out what the buttons are for, how the settings menus work, the different options for video resolution and frame rate and how to transfer video files to my laptop. This meant it was easy to set up and I was soon able to capture videos and photos. Another big plus is that it comes with 2 batteries, which can be charged in an external double charging dock using the supplied USB cable. It is also possible to charge a battery whilst it is inserted in the camera. The camera comes in a good case and with a very good range of accessories, including an effective waterproof case. The kit does not come with a micro SD card, and you need a 64 GB class 10 card. Battery life is OK, but I can't comment fully as the batteries haven't been through many charging cycles and are not yet operating at full capacity - at the moment I'm getting about 80 minutes recording 4K resolution, 30 frames per second video. Quality of the videos is very good, particularly when recorded at 4K - no skipping or jumping. Audio is only OK when the camera is not in its waterproof case. Finally, as others have reported the time and date stamp function does tend to reset itself to factory settings if the battery is out of the camera for more than a minute or 2 - annoying, but its not hard to adjust the settings. Overall, I think it's pretty good value for money.

Parfait pour mes time lapses
