I really love this body oil! I have experience with another one of Banyan Botanicals' products, but it was a kind of honey. This is the first time I have tried one of their body care products. I shouldn't be surprised, but the quality is outstanding! It feels amazing going on my skin, and it absorbs very quickly and evenly. The scent is my favorite part! This stuff smells amazing! It's a very earthy, woody scent, I'd say, appropriate for virtually any body of any age and any gender. The body oil leaves my skin feeling soft and very hydrated, especially when I apply it right after a shower, but it's never greasy or sticky. I do wish the scent would last a little longer, but it's a natural scent, so what are ya gonna do?? A little goes a long way, too, so I expect this bottle will last me a long time. I have used body oils that were much more expensive than this one, often in smaller bottles, so the price doesn't really bother me, but I would recommend watching for a sale. Best of all, Banyan Botanicals is a Certified B Corp and this product is sustainably sourced and fairly traded. It's also made with clean, non-GMO, organic ingredients and is vegan, paraben-, phthalate- and 100% cruelty-free! It's a fabulous product, all around, and I am very happy to recommend it! Superior

My skin feels softer, more hydrated, and has a healthy, natural glow after each use. Over time, I can see and feel the benefits — smoother texture, more suppleness, and an overall appearance that looks more radiant. This is a lightweight, highly spreadable organic oil that absorbs quickly to a non-greasy finish and leaves my skin feeling soothed, soft, supple, and well hydrated. The oil comes in a safety sealed amber glass bottle with a pump that dispenses a small amount at a time, and it has a pleasant herbaceous and earthy scent that's subtle and lingers lightly on the skin. The scent dissipates in time, and it's something that I think would appeal to everyone regardless of gender. I really like how well nourished this oil makes my skin feel, and the softness and sense of being well hydrated lasts a long time. I've used it after the shower and again before going to bed and it keeps my skin feeling good for a long time which is a real relief since it's winter here and my skin was feeling dry. I'd say that it's best to use after a shower or bath to lock in moisture, but it's soothing and relaxing to use any other time as well. If you've been afraid to try an oil because you thought it would be heavy or oily, don't be. Try this one - you won't be disappointed and your skin will thank you! This has a very strong herby smell. I wouldn't be surprised if most people found it too strong. It also requires quite a few pumps to get good coverage for a massage. Directions say 1 or 2 pumps for the whole body. I need 3 pumps just for a calf. 1 or 2 pumps is not going to be slippery enough for me, honestly. Some might prefer this type of massage oil, but I kind of prefer the cheaper kind that seems to last forever with just a pump. After some massaging it does seem to spread out a bit and work okay, but it doesn't feel as slippery as other massage oils I've used. Needless to say, I am not planning to get this again. However, some might prefer this type of oil. If you're okay with a less slippery feel and a strong herbal scent that will stay in the area for a while, then this can be for you! You'd also need to be okay with paying the premium for this since it's priced as a premium product. Personally I'm going back to the cheap stuff. 4 stars for a decent product, just not for me.

I'm trying out two new body oils at once, this one is the heavier of the two. It's in a spray bottle, though the oil comes out as a pump. The color and consistency are maybe like a light olive oil (amber and kinda slick). The cost is a splurge for a small bottle but the ingredients are mostly organic & clean, which explains some of the cost. It spreads far because it doesn't sink in right away, and I can slather both hands, even cuticles, in one pump and still be able to spread it onto my forearms. Relative to the other I'm trying, it does feel oily on your skin for longer (I should say I'm putting it on dry skin, not damp), and I needed to wait awhile before touching my computer, for example. My main dig against it is I don't love the scent. It's very herbal, maybe heavy on the Frankincense? Whatever it is, it's definitely "ayurvedic" in smell and if I put too much on it's headache-inducing. It also lingered over to the next morning. Anyhow, the oil itself is nice but I wouldn't buy it again for the smell reason (which is why the 3 stars). But if that isn't you and you're into natural herbally woodsy smells, you'd do great giving healthy, organic back rubs with this :)

I ordered this Banyan massage oil to see if it would help my very dry skin. I recently had to have surgery that involved a long incision in my arm, removing crushed bone, and sewing some tendons. So although I’ve had dry skin before on the arm, with the incision it’s gotten very, very dry. I also need to massage that arm around the incision to keep the blood circulating and to keep it from drying out. This organic botanical oil is fantastic! It is moisturizing without being greasy, and I love love love the smell! Not heavy scented at all, but very pleasing. I have rubbed this oil into my arms, legs and other body parts and it is amazing! Such soft skin now! I will continue to use this and would re-order it. This will be a great addition to my daily routine now in keeping my skin hydrated, and smelling awesome. Would definitely order this Banyan body oil again. I can highly recommend it based on my own personal use!

It works well right after a shower when your skin is still a little damp, that’s when it really soaks in and leaves everything feeling soft and smooth. It’s not a super thick oil, so it’s better for daily moisture or light massage rather than deep hydration or heavy duty body treatments. The 4 oz size is decent, and the ingredient list is clean, no parabens, cruelty-free, and non-GMO. If you’re into simple, plant-based body care, this feels like a nice option to have in the mix.

This body oil comes in a pump bottle (like a fine serum style pump) and is boxed. It has a very very medicinal herbaceous fragrance. One that’s not really my preference (I did not subtract stars for the fragrance, because that is a matter of personal taste). The scent did not linger long once applied and thankfully so. It’s a very moisturizing without being greasy oil. I found it sank into my dry skin quickly, and left me with more supple skin despite some dry, harsh weather. I don’t know how long this 4 ounce bottle will last - it takes about 15 pumps to cover my legs, arms, and torso after a shower. I find it a bit pricey for the size, but it is very much a quality product.
