Arrived in the most pathetic condition
Three-star review is only for the condition in which the product arrived in. Don't know whose fault it was. All I can say is that this isn't my first time experiencing it and I am highly disappointed to say the least. Previous books which arrived in similar conditions include White Nights by Dostoevsky, Animal Farm by George Orwell, etc

A great collection of Dostoevsky's work
I recently picked up The Greatest Short Stories of Dostoevsky, and it turned out to be a powerful introduction to one of the greatest writers ever. This collection brings together some of his most compelling shorter works, including classics like White Nights, The Honest Thief, and The Dream of a Ridiculous Man. The stories dive deep into human psychology, guilt, love, morality, and the struggles of ordinary people. Many readers say itโs a perfect way to experience Dostoevskyโs genius without committing to his long novels, and the emotional depth in each tale stays with you long after you finish. One of the biggest pros is how insightful and gripping these stories are. Dostoevsky explores complex emotions and philosophical ideas in a way that feels timeless and relevant even today. Readers often praise the rich character development and the way simple plots reveal profound truths about human nature. The variety across the stories keeps things interesting, and many people call it an excellent starting point for anyone new to his writing or a refreshing revisit for fans. The only real downsides are that some stories feel slower or more dated in style, especially the earlier ones, which can drag a bit for modern readers. A few tales are lighter or less impactful than others, leading some to prefer skipping around rather than reading straight through. The translation quality can also vary slightly depending on the edition, and those expecting nonstop action may find the introspective focus challenging at times. Overall, this collection delivers a brilliant showcase of Dostoevskyโs talent for capturing the human soul in just a few pages. If you enjoy thoughtful literature that makes you reflect on life, I would definitely recommend it. It has earned strong praise from most readers for its emotional power and lasting impact, making it well worth adding to your bookshelf.
