Wow what a great set of wheelsโฆ
I got these wheels as a replacement to my specialized wheels for my budget build. I got them and immediately put them on the trying stand. They were pretty true and only needed a minor adjustment. The wheels are average weight, the spokes were excellent. I opened up the hub and saw that they were a 6 pawl system with each pawl having three teeth. The outer ring looked like a 45 or 54 tooth ring that the pawls lock into. I gave a spin before installing the wheel to my gravel bike and boy were they loud. I like that they are loud because people on the trail can hear you coming and will politely give you space. I added some more dumondtech freehub oil and a dab of the grease to keep them spinning smoothly and it did bring the hub noise down a tad. I threw on my shimano 11-36t rear cassette, continental terra trails 700x45c, and went for a ride. The ride is smooth and the hub was loud lol. The wheels handled the flats and single track terrain with all the small bumps and divets with ease. I took them out for a 20 mile ride on the trails and they did what they were supposed to do and not pop a spoke or dent a rim. They are solid, robust, and well-built wheels. Easy to maintain the hub, the sealed bearings spin forever. I spun the front wheel and it took over 3 minutes to come to a stop while mounted on my bike. I would recommend these for every day riding for an all-road experience. They punch much higher than there price point and deserve a 4.6-5 star rating.i could have went for the higher priced super teams or elite wheels, but after my research I decided to give these a go and Iโm glad I bought them.

Best value.
Best bang for the buck. I think it would be hard to finder a better wheel at this price point. A little freewheel noise compared to must, but I have seen much higher priced wheels that are louder. I think itโs a benefit on multi use trails/roads to alert hikers/joggers you are approaching. The tool-less free wheel is also great, I little grease on the paws helped quiet it down a bit. The only thing I would have liked is stainless spokes.

Good set of wheels for a good price
Well made and at a good price. Just wish they offered a wider rim and without the decals.

Very smooth
I usually buy brand name wheel/hub but in this economy I gotta give the ZTZ a try. It was $80 and I was skeptical at first but after 2 months of 2-3 rides/week it has been very pleasant so far. I bought the 27.5 front wheel to replace my 10 year old cup and cone bearing MTB front wheel that is well worn and has a bent axle from a crash. Pleasantly surprised at the quality of this wheel. It came perfectly true right out of the box and the spoke tension is symmetrical. Rode over 300 miles(paved and unpaved trails) with this new wheel since and it has been holding up excellent. No play, no rattling, no noise. It's not the lightest wheel out there in terms of weight but I don't feel the effects of the weight when accelerating or climbing. I feel that getting good quality tires with low rolling resistance and light weight are more important. This wheel has very low friction/rolling resistance, I put my new tire on and spun it to 120 rpm and it spun for 4min and 7 seconds before coming to a complete stop. This is >30 seconds longer than my much more expensive rims/hubs! I have been rough a few times, ie: did a few small jumps, hit some potholes, and had a few soft crashes here and there and the wheel has held up fine for the most part but it has some minor buckling(untrue) at different spots, which I had to true it up myself but nothing major, this is expected of a rim this price. Overall 4.5/5.

Good to go ๐๐ผ
29โ Cannondale MTB, Have been using now for almost 1 year, no issues, no warping, light to moderate jumps also have maxxis dominion rubber mounted with tubes. The free wheel is not super loud but is very noticeable which I happen to like. Rim stickers are also very easy to remove with no sticky residue.Over-all Iโm very happy with the purchase .

Great set of wheels - UNTIL THE REAR AXEL BENT
Great set of wheels - UNTIL THE REAR AXEL BENT! I purchased this wheelset just before RAGBRAI - an annual 400 mile, 7 day ride across Iowa. I received the wheels just a few days before leaving for the ride, including new tires. The wheels were great! Smooth, Perfect fit, ran true, etc. Around 200 miles into the ride, I noticed a rubbing sound and found the tires rubbing on the frame, but just in one spot. I thought the spokes had stretched or something. I loostened the tire, adjusted the wheel a bit and re-tightened it. Worked fine for about 10 miles. I then marked the rubbing spot and adjusted spokes until the rubbing stopped. Again, worked fine for about 15 miles, then rubbing again. I adjusted the spokes a bit more until the rubbing stopped again. This time I was able to complete the remaining days and 200 miles to the end of the ride. When I got home, I took the wheel off and checked for bad bearings etc. That's when I noticed the casette wobble when I turned the axel. The axel had bent. Now this is a highway ride. The roads weren't bad. Small spots of the thump-thump when riding on older blacktop, but nothing unusual. Possibly I got a bad wheel, or poor quality control? I don't know. I weigh in at 220lbs. Not over the weight limit of standard wheels. I have been riding this bike since 2016, so 10 years. I replaced the original ball bearing wheels about 4 years ago, and when the bearings were making noise and I couldn't get them in time for the ride, I ordered these wheels - 2 day delivery! You can see the wobble in the included video. I have had the wheels a total of 2 weeks - 5 or 6 days of recovery after the ride before looking at the wheel and starting to order another set. Should be covered under Amazon's 30 day warranty still. I guess at this point, I cannot recommend the wheels due to the bent axel.

Is this normal?
Received my front wheels but front hub is locked. Not sure if this is normal or not but on the website it states it comes with sealed bearings so im assuming their supposed to spin freely so if someone could give feedback that would be great

Direct replacement for Giant Roam - didnt need to adjust brakes or shifters !
bought for a midline Giant Roam that was nice, except the wheel bearings were toast. This replacement is stronger than those factory Giant rims, higher grade hub cartridge and it has a large number of cartridge bearings instead of the old cup/cone type that constantly need adjustments and regreasing. These rims roll smooth as glass. the freewheel clicks pretty loud- which is a cool upgrade and it makes aimless joggers/walkers/runners stop, turn and look to see whats going by them - a safety bonus. I had to move over the shimano gear cluster (which requires 2 tools - one to hold chain in place and special star socket that unbolts the cluster -- OR just buy a $20ish cluster with the teeth numbers you want as an upgrade in range. I didnt need to even adjust my gears. I ordered 12 gold disc torex bolts here for about $8, used a torex bit and a dewalt 1/4' brushless driver and buzzed off the discs and transferred them to this new set in about 10 minutes. The rim size is true 700c so the giant tires and a set of continental tires could be changed without tools. 44mm and 32MM tires seated on the bead without an issue. rims were true and straight out of the box. Arrived on time/fast. I would definately buy these again and recommend to friends/family/coworkers. tremendous value for the money.
