Pedometer Watch Senior Friendly No App No Phone Required, Step Counter

I use this activity monitor just what it’s for, to monitor my activity and I love to be able to just look at it and it will tell me right on the face how many steps I have walked that day. It’s simple it’s easy, and it looks nice. I couldn’t be more happy with this. I usually charge it every night like I used to with my Apple Watch, just out of habit, but every night it is still on 96 or 97% battery so it holds the battery well, IMO. I don’t use the app, even though you can set it up that way. It’s the whole reason I bought it - to not have to worry about running a Bluetooth 24/7. If you’re in doubt, just buy it! You won’t be sorry.

I got the watch for my 88 yo mom . It is fantastic. Battery lasts over a week , counts her steps and sleep accurately. She is very happy with it .

Updated 1/18/25: Six months later, this smartwatch is still going strong! My son is still super busy and despite slams and bangs and whatnot, this watch works great and the battery is holding up really well. The only downside is that he’s had some skin irritation on the area that the watch portion sits on and on the side of the arm opposite the watch unit, he has irritation from the strap. We’ve been managing this by having him take breaks from wearing the device and/or swapping it to the other wrist. Hydrocortisone cream works well to resolve the irritation. Original review: I bought this for my son on his 10th birthday. He really wanted a smartwatch, but he’s a rough-and-tumble kid and I worried it would be easily broken. I needed somethings affordable. This watch fit the bill nicely. It’s been 6 months since we purchased it, and it’s still going strong despite heavy duty playtime. My son doesn’t have a phone, so he’s using the ‘basic’ features. That still provides him with a watch, step counter, heart rate monitor, alarm, stop watch, and some other features I can’t remember. His cons were: No access to additional features just because he doesn’t have a phone. Can’t change the background. His pros: Waterproof so far. Watch went through the washer AND dryer and still WORKS. I was shocked at the level of durability. Step counter seems accurate. Watch is easy to read and has a few different faces to choose from. The alarm works great and having the ‘buzz’ against his skin helps to wake him. I can’t speak to the connectivity, as he doesn’t have a phone. He’ll be getting one in about 6 months. If these watches are still being offered, I’ll update my review then. Overall, a good first smartwatch and appropriate for kids. Would recommend/buy again.

Great Backup Smartwatch – Simple, Practical, and Worth the Price I’m really happy with this smartwatch. The best part is that it doesn’t require an app to get started. You can basically take it out of the box and start using it right away, which makes it super convenient and user-friendly. The large screen is clear and easy to read, even at a quick glance. The step tracking works well and seems accurate for daily activity. I mainly use it when my Apple Watch is charging, and it does exactly what I need it to do — track steps, tell time, and keep things simple. For the price, it absolutely deserves 5 stars. If you’re looking for an affordable, easy-to-use smartwatch without complicated setup, this is a great option.

Nice and senior friendly

I mean I've only had it for 4 days but it hooked up easily to my phone, it tracks my steps and sleep, I get my texts and I can answer my phone on it. So it basically does everything I would want an Apple Watch for but it was $20 instead of $400. I'll call it a win. Definitely can't speak to longevity. But I've been wearing it full time for 4 days and the battery is at 40%. I haven't charged it since I initially charged it to 100% 4 day ago. So good battery longevity as far as I can tell.

Just got it, turned it on and set up the watch. Was at 99% and Went down to 65% within 20 minutes.... the look and feel are great, I'm just hoping this was due to not being fully charged and trying again. Messages also will not show on my watch.

I had high hopes for this pedometer watch based on reviews. On the first day of use, it counted my steps fairly accurately on a long walk outdoors. I compared the total to the steps counted on a separate pedometer app on my smartphone -- and they were only off by about 50 steps. So I thought this watch would be a keeper. However, on the second day, the steps began being counted erratically. (The steps did reset at zero after midnight, which was good.) While walking indoors and being sure to move my arm, the steps were not counted at all. For a 2-hour period where I definitely took steps and moved my arm, the step count remained stuck at 30. I even swung my arm wildly, but it never moved past 30. In the morning, I walked inside the house being sure to swing my arm and take a long stride. Then the steps started being counted again. But not always. It seems that sometimes there is a long delay (lag time) between when steps are actually taken and when they show up on the watch. Also, if you walk too slowly, it doesn't register the steps. This watch had so much potential. Not having to use an app was great and exactly met my needs. I loved it on the first day. But the second day was very disappointing and troubling. I will see how it goes over the next couple of days before deciding whether to return it. The price was good, the display was nice and bright with large readable numbers, the strap isn't stiff like the Fitbit strap, it was easy to charge and fairly simple to set up, and the charge didn't drain quickly. Besides the erratic step counter, some other negatives are the strap is really long -- about 2 inches too long for me. I bought the gray based on the photos, but it's a very light gray, almost white. If I had known that, I would've bought the black. While I do like the softness and flexibility of the strap compared to the Fitbit strap, I don't expect it will last very long. With a few improvements, this could be a great watch at a great price. However, based on my first couple days of use, I think it falls short.
