I was looking at a selection of similar items on amazon and decided on this one. Glad I did. On other units the underside of the shelves were bare chipboard, these shelves are lined, top and bottom with the oak effect. Also, the back panels are seperate slot-in style inserts for each shelf, so if you wanted to leave one or more off for access to plugs, or to store deeper books etc, you can easily do that. It was easy to put together and seems sturdy enough for what it is. The oak effect is paler than anticipated (compared to Oak effect Billy bookcases from Ikea, which are a shade or two warmer.) For smaller paper backs you can double stack them on shelves with the back panels inserted, as you can see in the photo but most books just fit single file, with a bit of space for nicknacks or small plants etc.

Exactly what I needed and v affordable. Easy to build. One glaring issue. It's manufactured strictly to stand vertically, as the bottom cube is not wood laminated on all four interior faces. The underside of what would be the top and then the underside of the middle shelf, of the interior cubes are just bare MDMF. Not noticeable if unit stands vertically, but v noticeable if standing horizontally. I wanted to place it on it's side, as a base for another unit. So the unlaminated surfaces were glaringly visible! Not ideal! Solution - I ordered a roll of wood effect tape, matched as closely as possible to the dark wood effect of the unit. Stuck to the bare interior faces Voila! Now looks complete.

We bought 2,3 & 4 tier units. They are easy to assemble even without instructions.All 3 took only an hour or so. At these low prices they are great value & are of decent quality. A slight issue with missing veneer on the 3 tier was immediately rectified by the supplier - great customer service! Urbnliving stock several products in a variety of styles & finishes & all represent good value - but watch out for fluctuating prices as you can make decent savings by buying at the right time. Delivery is quick & You can't find fault with these units. Mix & match for a nice display - Recommended!

Lovely bookcase, easy to assemble and very sturdy. Difficult to use for tall books as shelf height can't be adjusted. Value for money as can use for ornaments or books

If I begin by pointing out that this item is no less expensive than other brands for sale on Amazon; quality however is not good and doesn’t even come close to the other brands available. The panels/shelves are very thin but what stood out the most was that a complete side of each shelf was not veneered; the manufacturer clearly hoping that no one would look up under the shelves. I’ve just used them for my shed now as these are not fit for purpose in the home. Avoid.

Très déçue. Les faces non visibles ne sont pas vernies, c’est du bois brut, donc poussières et fibres de bois en permanence. Je voulais mettre des vêtements mais là c’est hors de question. Je ne conseille absolument pas

La più economica che ho trovato sul sito (poco più di 26 euro) fa il suo lavoro ed è facile da montare, anche se ho dovuto farlo a mano. Con l'avvitatore elettrico è questione di pochi minuti Compensato rivestito, ma fa un gran bell'effetto legno. Il fondo contro al muro è molto sottile: sono pannelli che vanno incastrati nella struttura principale, quindi si possono anche omettere e lasciare due lati aperti Lascio 4 stelle perchè qualche angolo è spellato e ci sono vari graffi. La scatola in cui è arrivata era abbastanza ammaccata
