Review: Great for insulating a 3D printer heated bed - This worked great for my application! It was a little thinner than I expected, but that didn't matter too much to me. I applied it to the bottom side of a Creality CR-10 print bed. Fit perfectly with not cutting required. If anyone else is looking to do the same, be careful about the power leads on the print bed. Maybe even cover them with some kapton tape before applying this. The aluminized surface could easily short those babies out if you're not careful. Anyway, the adhesive is holding up fine so far even after being held at 60 degrees C for over 16 hours straight. I'll be sure to update this review if the adhesive starts to fail at any time.
Review: Works great! - I got this as I had a wideband O2 sensor put in, and the wire for it ran close to the exhaust manifold piping, and I didn't want it to melt on me. I cut a 2*6 inch square and wrapped it around the wire, and 3 months later it's still there and no problems. I think I got a generous amount for what I paid. I can't comment as to whether the adhesive will hold up if stuck to the chassis, but it wrapped around my wire and holds there.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: How long is this roll?**
A: Not a roll ... 12" x 12" square

**Q: I want to use to line the outside bottom of saddlebags. I bought new cheap ones that seem to get hot real easy from my straight pipes will this work?**
A: The answer is possibly. Here is my experience. I needed to protect my plastic tray in my golf cart from my catalytic heater. When the insulation was attached to the heat shield that was just above the output from the heater, the adhesive would not stick in a few minutes. So I attached the insulation to the plastic tray above the heater and it has worked fine. The space between the heat shield and the plastic tray is 1-2 inches (not linear since the tray and the heat shield are at angles to each other. The tray gets a little warm, not hot. I would assume your straight pipes are on a motorcycle? Since the specs for the insulation properties are not given, you don't have any quantitative data to use in figuring out whether this will work or not so it will cost you some $$ to find out if you choose that route. The distance from the straight pipe to the saddle bags will be a major factor. The farther the distance the better. I assume the straight pipe will put out more heat than my catalytic heater. I might suggest putting on one layer to determine if the insulation will adhere to the saddle bags and if it protects the desired area from the heat. If the insulation adheres to the saddle bags and you still want to reduce the heat to the saddle bags I might try adding additional layers. The product is fairly thin, I would guess 1/16-3/32 inches. My overall opinion of this product is that it is a decent product, but like all products it has it limits. The just are a lot of variables when working with these types of situations.

**Q: Can I apply this product to clothing and peel it off and re-use as necessary?**
A: You could apply it with varying degrees of success to some fabrics, but I can't imagine peeling it off would work well and reapplying should be nearly impossible. Sorry.

**Q: Would this work to line the bottom of my winter boot under the wool liner?**
A: Yes, but be aware this product contains fiberglass and may cause problems with your feet. A better suggestion is to use our Thermo Guard (pn 14120). It does NOT contain fiberglass and is thicker, which will give you more cushion.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ High quality great price.

good quality laminate construction. Comparable to auto parts store's peel and stick heavy duty heat shields at half the price. I used to replace a degraded and stinking heat shield on my light fixtures.
