Great for insulating a 3D printer heated bed
This worked great for my application! It was a little thinner than I expected, but that didn't matter too much to me. I applied it to the bottom side of a Creality CR-10 print bed. Fit perfectly with not cutting required. If anyone else is looking to do the same, be careful about the power leads on the print bed. Maybe even cover them with some kapton tape before applying this. The aluminized surface could easily short those babies out if you're not careful. Anyway, the adhesive is holding up fine so far even after being held at 60 degrees C for over 16 hours straight. I'll be sure to update this review if the adhesive starts to fail at any time.

Works great!
I got this as I had a wideband O2 sensor put in, and the wire for it ran close to the exhaust manifold piping, and I didn't want it to melt on me. I cut a 2*6 inch square and wrapped it around the wire, and 3 months later it's still there and no problems. I think I got a generous amount for what I paid. I can't comment as to whether the adhesive will hold up if stuck to the chassis, but it wrapped around my wire and holds there.

High quality great price.
good quality laminate construction. Comparable to auto parts store's peel and stick heavy duty heat shields at half the price. I used to replace a degraded and stinking heat shield on my light fixtures.

Thermo-Tec 13500 12" X 12" Adhesive Backed Heat Barrier
Thermo-Tec 13500 12" X 12" Adhesive Backed Heat Barrier Great stuff. Added a bunch of pictures of my starter project and it's holding up great and my starter has never worked better. The adhesive is very strong and works best after a cleaning with thinner to remove all oil. One item I used it on I coated the part first with spray adhesive then applied the barrier.. WOW.. better have it lined up right the first time. :0) I am buying a extra package just for stock. I love this stuff and think you will too. Highly Recommend. RagenRat

Not sticky enough
I did clean well before application but it does not appear that the product will stay in place for too long. I also put mechanical restraint over it which seems to be helping. It does seem to work well reflecting heat but I doubt the adhesive will hold up to the elements under the hood. It will take time before I really know how good the product is.

Good Product, Good Company Communications, Easy Installation
I bought this for the underside of a stereo speaker which is mounted above the fireplace. It used to be a non-working Fireplace so it didn't matter, but I just got it fixed, and I noticed that when the fire is going, the speaker gets very hot. So I contacted the company (Thermo-Tec) via email and they responded immediately and recommended which exact product to use. I asked if I could paint it black to match the speaker, and they responded immediately saying that would greatly diminish the heat reflective qualities. I love a company that is knowledgeable about its products and quickly responds. It was very easy to install, and the heat from the fire does not seem to be affecting the stay-fastness of the adhesive that sticks it onto the bottom of the speaker. It seems like a very thick, dense silicone weave that is substantial enough to do the job. I'm very pleased with it and my speaker now stays cool even when the fire is going.

Worked for my application...
Bought a cheap ebay intake kit for my car. The piping in the kit was all metal that absorbed all the engine bay heat like a sponge making the cold air intake much less effective. I bought this barrier to cover all of the metal piping to help block the heat and it did the trick. The adhesive stuck just fine to the metal piping after I throughly cleaned it with rubbing alcohol.

Great product
Used on Weber side draft carburator heat shields on my race car. Carbs are over exhaust header. Easy to apply and trim to fit metal shields. Not raced yet, so I hope adhesive holds up. Update: Have raced several weekends, and adhesive is holding up. Would use again if needed.
