worked great...we went hiking Mount Haleakala this summer and the cabins we were in didn't have the best insulation...outside temps mid 30's to 40's...everyone else hiked in with huge sleeping bags I took this little bivvy the size of a soda can the scout master didn't think it would be enough so I tested it in the walking freezer at Costco...temp 40 degrees and it was nice and toasty inside...thats me in the picture I am 5'10" 160 pounds I was wearing a tee shirt and shorts in that picture...all I wore up there was Nike Thermo pants and Nike Thermo long sleeve shirt and a Merino wool cap along with the bivvy at night...never got cold once...because this is the "Lite" there isn't a zipper to get in and out and there is a small tear now on the top...I think next time I am going to get the model with the zipper

Just what I wanted for emergency packing in my SAR bag--just in case I get stuck out over night. Very light weight, but the material seems pretty tough. I wanted the water vapor transmission too & this has it.

Very lightweight and packable, smaller diameter than a soda can but about the same height. It did breath as advertised, no condensation issues. Used it with my 45 degree bag in 22 degree weather and was able to sleep; maybe not well but this allowed me to at least get some shut eye. So it probably added about 15 degrees warmth. Only issue is entry and exit as there is only an opening at the top so you have to wiggle in, not an issue when thinking about all the weight saved. Just wish the price was lower, good job SOL.
