Idatalink to the rescue!
If you're installing modern stereos into any vehicle newer than 2005 and you're not using the Idatalink Maestro products than you're causing yourself a lot of undue stress and work. The Maestro products make stallation so easy it's almost ridiculous. And not only for stereos, you can also add remote starters, alarms, radar detectors and more into the system very easily.

Needed This For My After Market Heat Unit
This worked great in my 2014 Toyota Prius when I replaced the OEM head unit with an Apple Car Play after market head unit in order to keep my steering wheel controls. Make sure you read reviews, go to the manufacturer website to enter your car details to get the exact parts/model versions you need. There are other accessories by this manufacturer that will give you OEM working features with an after market radio head unit other than this device for the steering wheel controls. That’s why you should visit the manufacturer website. I’m super happy event though I spent some money on my new after market Apple CarPlay head unit. This device made it worth every penny. My volume, channel tuner, and hands free phone call features from the steering wheel controls all work now. Highly suggest.
