I wear these all winter and spring and autumn, twice a day for dog walking. Well insulated, feet soon become cosy even on coldest of days. Good level of grip in the mud. During the winter months I can go weeks without them ever drying out or being cleaned from walk to walk or being polished. And they stand up to this treatment. All of them have eventually started to leak but that's after 4 years of abuse and hardly any maintenance - that equates to about 6 miles a day 365 days a year - I take February 29th off. The fit is as the size so if you want to wear a very thick sock you may need to go up a size or half a size from your standard size.
