UPERFECT Portable Monitor 17.5" 1920 x 1200 FHD Second Screen for Laptop

The UPERFECT 120Hz Portable Monitor 18.5 Inch 125% sRGB Portable Gaming Monitor is a great monitor. I was looking for a screen that my kids could use with their Nintendo Switch in the car, giving them a bigger screen than the one on the Switch. It had to be big enough to give each player a good size ¼ of the screen in a 4-player split screen, but not so big I couldn’t see out the rear window when it was fitted. It also needed to be thin to sit flush with the backs of the front seats. After looking at a lot of different portable monitors and sizes, I went for this UPERFECT 18.5 Inch Portable Gaming Monitor, and it does the job perfectly. Using the included case which becomes a stand, the monitor sits nicely on the tray table in my car and the case seems quite grippy so it shouldn’t slide off when cornering, but I wanted the screen central and secured. The monitor has VESA mounting holes and comes with the correct length screws, so I purchased a small wall mount bracket with a locking screw and fitted it to the monitor with no problems. I attached the other part to a bar I had installed between the headrests, so my screen is now securely mounted centrally between the front seats. The matt finish of the screen means there are no reflections in the car, which was a major selling point for me as there is lots of potential for reflections in a car. The picture quality is great, and the brightness is good enough that the picture looks bright and clear when using it in the car on a sunny day. I had an experiment with some of the viewing modes you can select and found with it on full brightness you can get a bit more brightness using one of the viewing modes if you need it. The built-in speakers are good enough for Switch games and loud enough to be heard over the road noise. It has a speaker each side so both kids get the sound, but it also has a headphone socket so they could use headphones if they want fuller sound or you’ve had enough of hearing the Mario Kart music and sound effects. My kid’s headphones have an output socket so they can be linked together for them both to use headphones and the monitor drives them both with no problem. The volume button also works as the menu button, moving it up increases the volume and down lowers the volume. If you press it in, the options menu appears on the screen, which you navigate by moving the button up and down and pressing it in to select something. To exit the menu you press and hold the button for two seconds. This means there are less buttons on the side of the monitor which I think looks much neater. The technical support is great. I had a read of the user guide as I wanted to find out the specs to power it from the 12V Cigarette Lighter socket using a USB-C Charger. I noticed the guide said contact support if you want to power it from a power bank. Being similar to what I wanted to do, I contacted them explaining I wanted to run the monitor and a Switch from the car. I got a quick response, and they even provided the power requirements of the Switch which isn’t event their product (the monitor can pass power through to a device and if a Nintendo Switch doesn’t get enough power, it won’t output a video signal via the USB-C port). This allowed me to pick the right car charger to power it all. I have a few HDMI devices I would like to use with it and though I would have to buy a HDMI to Mini HDMI cable to use them with this monitor but then I read in the listing that it comes with a mini HDMI to HDMI cable and two USB-C to USB-C cables, which saves having to buy them. I can confirm these cables are included in the box, along with a mains adaptor. Making this monitor ready to go out the box and a great buy. My kids love it. If you want to use it in a car, I can’t put links, but the car charger I used is a “UGREEN 130W Car Charger USB C Fast Charger (with 100W USB C Cable)”, use the 100w USB-C socket on it. The wall mount is PRO SIGNAL PS-1327SFTVM Slim Fixed TV Wall Mount for 13" to 27" Flat Screens.

Firstly before we go on - what a great monitor this is. It was well packaged in very eco friendly packaging mainly of paper based material. The box itself is very sturdy and worth of a mention. It is nice to see the amount of recyclable materials in both the packaging and the monitor. It came with 2x USB C cables plus an HDMI to mini HDMI cable. This is nice to see a manufacturer thinking of these items as many a time you buy a product only to realise that you need extra cables to actually benefit and enjoy your new gadget. Also quite handy was the inclusion of 4 screws for the VESA mount on the reverse. The included cover which doubles as the stand is attached by strong magnets to the rear of the screen which are more than capable of holding the screen secure, then when you want to put it away it wraps around the front to protect the screen. The stand has only one angle but it is suitable for everyday work. The screen all 18.5" of it is clear and easy to read in all lights. There are a wealth of menu options to adjust to your desire, including colour temp, brightness, saturation etc. Although this can run off of one USB to your PC it is recommended to have one attached to a power source. But don't panic there is a UK power block in the packaging - so you don't have to hunt one down. The manual in the box is easy to understand and includes images to make it even simpler to set up. It has weight to it but not too much to make it hard to carry, the casing is a sturdy plastic with a nice texture to the front. The bezel on the screen is around 5mm and does not encroach too much on the actual screen size. The display itself has a mat feel and does not reflect any light. My pictures are taken with a fluorescent lighting right above my head. Playback on videos is good. The blacks are black, and the overall image is sharp with no ghosting. The built in speakers give you option of playing through these rather than your built in laptop speakers but they do lack a bit of punch. It does not get hot, and I use mine all day long, and there is no noise from the monitor itself. The onscreen menus make perfecting the image very easy and include all variants of options that you will need. I have been using the screen for the last couple of weeks and have had no glitches, issues or errors with the screen. The resolution I have set it to is 1920 x 1080 and the text is clear and easy to read. I use mine mainly for spreadsheets, emails, word and daily normal mundane office stuff, but have the ability as I work in different offices, to pick it up, stick it in my back pack and be up and running in my next office very quickly - with dual screens - and no hassle. Where in the past I would have taken my laptop to one of our offices, sat down and go find a spare screen, then the cables, and connect it up - normally at someone else's desk, this way I can sit anywhere without bothering people and without the hassle of connecting equipment. Should you invest and buy this product - Absolutely - I can not recommend it enough. If anything changes I will update this review, but so far I am very happy with my purchase.

I already own another UPERFECT monitor that I use for workspaces, which fits nicely in my laptop bag. However, for extended stays away from home, I wanted something a bit larger. That’s why I got this monitor as a travel-friendly second screen. he packaging is paper-based and eco-friendly—the plastic bag around the monitor even felt compostable (or at least fully recyclable). Everything inside was well secured and easy to unpack. The build quality is excellent—solid, sturdy, and clearly built to last. Setup was simple with a couple of connectivity options: one USB-C cable from my Dell XPS 13 worked instantly, and mini-HDMI is also an option. (With my ultrabook, I used a small hub for HDMI out and the included USB-C cable and plug for power when I need my spare USB port for something else). I had to do some configuration to get it how I liked, but the screen is bright, clear, and vibrant, with plenty of space for multitasking. I tested with a few high-quality YouTube videos, which looked great. I really find it lovely to use. It’s big enough for real work like coding in VS Code, editing spreadsheets, and running remote sessions, yet slim and light enough to fit in my suitcase for when I’m staying with family (which happens a lot). The price is good, especially if you can get it on offer. The magnetic stand is simple but effective, and VESA mount holes (with screws included) make it useful for a permanent setup. My only minor gripe is the slightly fiddly adjustment controls, but once set up, you probably won’t need to touch them again. Overall, a robust, high-quality portable monitor that’s perfect for travel or home use. Highly recommended.

Good plug 'n play portable monitor with great display that is an excellent working addition to a laptop, whether travelling or working from home. Sound is perhaps better for conferencing than streaming. Power requirements may necessitate two cable connection, either both to different ports on the laptop or one to a mains supply via supplied power adaptor. UPerfect Support Team provided a very rapid response with clear information and instructions provided when contacted regarding an issue that arose on a business trip with a new computer, which solved the problem.

Amazingly bright device as 1500 nits and rivals my Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra at full brightness! Only downside is the 16:10 aspect ratio but this is very clearly advertised. The anti-glare coating is amazing for this price. Absolute bargain for a decent outdoor monitor! The VESA mounting is a huge bonus too, as well as the 3x video ports with 2 doubling as power. Powering and sending video from usb-c is very easy with the right usb-c port and the included cables support this fully. Sound quality is to be expected but it does have a 3.5mm aux jack that works fine with speakers and headphones. Very light device and the kickstand can articulate a full 180 degrees behind the monitor (in the down position it blocks the video and power ports but fine in up position). You will need a mini-HDMI male to HDMI female if you want to connect this to a normal HDMI cable but a small mini-HDMI male to HDMI male is included for immediate connectivity, making the monitor highly adjustable and versatile. All in all, a great monitor at a great price especially for outdoors BUT make sure you do not require 16:9 standard resolutions like 1080p and 3840x2160 (4K) because anything else including 2560x1440 (16:9) and 2560x1600 (16:10 and this monitors native resolution) will have a hard time with things like miracast, kvm extenders and other video-related devices that expect bog-standard specs.

Nice clear display but it has a fault with audio that makes it difficult to recommend. If it receives loud audio (say if volume is set near 100% and something loud playing) then it somehow loses video signal, and it is not easy to get it to come back. At first I thought this was a mild nuisance, but it is enough of a problem that I've more or less given up using the display in favour of another.

I sourced this larger size monitor for times in which friends come over to play with their portable consoles. It works quite nicely and it comes with all necessary cables needed for the monitor to function. This is the content you'll find in the box: - Monitor - Monitor cover that functions as a stand - USB-C to USB-C cables - HDMI to mini HDMI cable - Power supply - Screws for VESA mount - Instruction manual The size is quite large at 18.5" and it being a Full HD monitor makes it look sharp and nice. The monitor works at a maximum refresh rate of 120Hz, which is quite nice for smooth portable gaming. There are a fair amount of settings that allows the user to customize the color temperature, the brightness, and other functionality such as FreeSync and auto input selection. Oa side node, if I could improve the product I would upgrade the speakers to something more powerful and rich, and have a metal retractable stand cut out in the monitor chassis. Overall I am quite satisfied with this monitor so I would definitely recommend it. P.S.: I've attached some pictures of the monitor, its matte finish, and the content of the box.

Hey there fellow techies, I don't normally write detailed reviews for products, but this monitor has drastically improved my portable workstation/workflow, so I thought it would be fair to write down some of my thoughts. I have been a corporate graphic designer for the last 25 years, am obsessed with new technology, and am VERY particular about color and calibration with my digital/print art. I travel a lot for work and have been taking this monitor with me everywhere, and I feel that it is rugged enough to be tossed into a backpack or suitcase. So far, I've flown over 3500 miles with this thing in luggage and backpacks, and it's still as good as new. As far as calibration goes, I can confidently say that this monitor passes with flying colors (pun not intended). I did quite a bit of research on portable monitors (there are so many options) before purchasing this monitor, and I'm extremely happy I chose this one. After some very minor calibration (super easy to do with the buttons on the monitor), the screen actually looked better than my $3,500 OLED Alienware laptop monitor. For this reason, I am now using the 4K Uperfect portable monitor as my primary monitor for design, and my Alienware laptop monitor for research and reference. The Uperfect monitor is just as bright if not brighter than my laptop, which is awesome for daytime work. Something I really appreciate is the granular control of the menus, from 1-100 in settings (brightness, colors, volume). I feel like I have complete control over calibration, and the color reproduction is amazing. I like that the monitor remembers the settings when powering off and on, so it's a true plug and play experience. In my case, I'm using the thunderbolt port (which delivers power) on my pc and connecting to the port on the monitor that has a little monitor symbol next to it (see pic of side of unit in review, taken from an AirBNB rental while traveling). The monitor comes with many different cords, but all I needed was the included USB-C to USB-C cord. I LOVE that I can just whip out this monitor, plug in the one USB-C cable, and I'm good to go - no external plugging or power needed. Within seconds, I have a 2-monitor setup at a coffeshop and I feel like I'm living in the future. One thing I noticed while setting up - and this is more of my personal preference - you'll want to make sure you change your display settings to match on both your pc/mac/laptop display and the 4K Uperfect monitor display. This really has nothing to do with the Uperfect monitor, and everything to do with the settings of your pc/mac/laptop display. I set both laptop and uperfect monitors to display at 250%, and it is sharp and crisp as can be. On pc this would be right click on desktop > display settings > Scale and Layout. In the past, I used 1080p portable monitors, and the displays didn't match up due to the much higher pixel count on my laptop. This problem was solved with this 4K monitor, and my mouse transitions seamlessly back and forth as I design. Overall, I definitely recommend this 4K Uperfect monitor as a daily work station, especially for those who travel a lot or have the need for a rugged, bright, crisp, colorful, and portable monitor. It's really a great value for the price and has quickly become an essential addition to my design arsenal. Cheers!
