Great present. Instructions were confusing and had to find video instructions on YouTube.

I ordered this for my 10 yr old granddaughter who loves any type of group play with her friends, especially the old ones I’ve taught her from my childhood…she still can’t beat me on the hand clap “sailor went to sea” or the American skipping 😉 I remember this game from my childhood when we used left over wool. This is a great little gift for her and her friends as many can use at the same time, increasing the difficulty as they progress using the instructions for more in depth configurations. The current retail price of £6.99 perhaps a tad on the expensive side for what is basically pieces of string in a box methinks.

This is a cute and classic game that I loved as a kid. It’s harmless fun that keeps kids away from their screens, even for a short while. I love the colour and I think it’s a really fun game. Can be played alone or with friends. Not terrible value and makes for a good stocking filler.

This brings back memories when I was a child we used to play with bit of old string, My granddaughter love anything like this was teaching her with a long piece of string but these are pretty colours and comes with instructions on how to do different things which I have forgotten as so long ago, great for parties and stocking fillers.

This is a fun game but only one instruction pamphlet for numerous cats cradle strings seems stingy. Better if there was a pamphlet per string. String is nice to play with. One already broke but was rejoined with a knot- which is fine really.

Small compact box (great for travel) contains one long cats cradle string and a book of different ways to use it. Illustrations are somewhat vague but otherwise it’s a lovely solo or paired activity for kids to problem solve and play with!

I played cats cradle growing up. Bought for nieces and they enjoyed learning the game. These are perfect for beginners. Thick enough for stability but thin enough to go from one hand to the next, Love the color too!

Compré este pack porque me hizo gracia volver a jugar al típico juego del cordel de cuando éramos pequeños y al final ha tenido más éxito del que esperaba en casa. Vienen varios cordeles de colores y eso está bien porque no tienes que estar peleándote por uno solo. Los tonos morados y rosas son bastante bonitos y llaman mucho la atención a los niños. Las cuerdas tienen buena longitud y no se sienten endebles. Pensaba que iban a ser las típicas que se deshilachan enseguida, pero después de varios días usándolas siguen bastante bien. Mi sobrina estuvo toda una tarde intentando aprender figuras con las tarjetas y acabó enganchadísima. Las instrucciones ayudan bastante porque algunas formas ya no me acordaba ni de cómo empezaban. Aun así, hay ciertas figuras que cuestan un poco más y las imágenes podrían venir algo más grandes o mejor explicadas. Me gusta también que sea algo sencillo, sin pantallas ni ruido, que hoy en día se agradece bastante. Lo típico que acabas sacando mientras esperas en un restaurante o una tarde tranquila en casa. Incluso entre adultos termina picando el intentar hacer figuras más complicadas. Parece una tontería pero entretiene mucho más de lo que parece. Otro detalle bueno es que las cuerdas son suaves y no hacen daño en los dedos después de un rato jugando. He probado otras más ásperas hace tiempo y acababas incómodo enseguida. Estas tienen un tacto agradable y parecen bastante resistentes. Por ponerle alguna pega, la caja es más pequeña de lo que imaginaba y las tarjetas podrían ser un pelín más rígidas, porque si las usan mucho los niños pequeños seguramente se doblen rápido. Pero quitando eso, me parece un detalle muy simpático para regalar o para tener por casa y desconectar un rato de móviles y tablets.

Realmente es un juego de otros tiempos pero que parece ha sobrevivido todo estos años. Curioso. El pack contiene unas ocho cuerdas de calidad robusta y con indicaciones (también existen videos en Internet para ver cómo usarlas), con los que pueden crearse un sinfín de formas diversas entre amigas. Un largo entretenimiento garantizado. Y lejos de tanta pantalla digital.
