One week at a time
There are 52 cards in the box. I use one a week. It helps my mind work towards self improvement. And it is manageable at 1 at a time. It is better than trying to read a 200 page self help book that is full of fluff.

Clear & Gentle Way to Learn the New
I'm enjoying them. They're simple,"neuro-dharma" based, and choosing only one new idea at a time really suits me. Each card offers a new perception and ways to practice it in a clear, kind & gentle way. This allows my system to stay open, spacious, and learn.

Daily upbeat messages
These can do what intended, when my daughter remembers to hang them up. They are intended to help someone with daily positive and upbeat messages. Would recommend.

Should be titled, "52 MORE Practices for Happiness, etc."
I like Rick Hanson and his books. They are worthy and mostly successful attempts to blend pragmatic psychotherapy with Buddhist practice. Unfortunately, Hanson tends to rewrite the same material and publish it as a new book every few years. When I bought the Just One Thing Card Deck I expected the material to be the same as, or at least to correspond closely with, the material found in the Just One Thing book. I was at least hoping the chapter and card titles would match. Yes, there are 52 chapters in the book and 52 cards in the deck. But the topics and techniques just don't match. I specifically bought this deck because I wanted to have the book contents abbreviated and printed on cards rather than having to do it myself on index cards. If that is what you're expecting, be warned: that is not what you will get. And I cannot be the only idiot expecting a card deck sharing the same title with a book by the same author to have the same or similar content. I don't what in the hell Hanson and his publisher were thinking. It's not like neither will be useful. But the card deck is really a different book. They really should make this distinction in their marketing. So, buy one or the other, or buy both, but know that they aren't the same.

52 MORE "Just One Thing" practices to be present!
I first bought the printed book and was delighted with all the practices it offers to obtain peace of mind, little by little learn to be present in the moment. So I decided to buy also this deck of cards thinking it would match the daily practices described in the book, but to my pleasant surprise they were different so I have now "104 Just One Thing" ideas to meditate on, to be present, grateful and in peace changing my brain into a Buddha's brain. Thanks a lot Dr. Hanson!
