Amazing. Did think it was possible.
13 years ago, I built a very nice decorative brick stoop. It was due for a cleaning and sealing. My elderly family member with some dementia, who we were caring for, took it upon himself to revive it by spray painting it orange. Not only did he thoroughly coat the decorative brick and mortar, but also didn't tape up around the edges first and also got paint on our colored stamped concrete on one side, the textured colored stucco of the house, and the french doors. Although my wife and I both felt sick, he was was so proud of his contribution that I let it stay like that for 6 months, until we eventually moved him elsewhere. We tried several other methods for removing the paint on spots, with lots of scrubbing and unsatisfactory results. I had resigned myself to the fact that I was going to have to chisel up the brick and rebuild it anew. But decided to try this Elephant Snot as a last ditch effort first. Plus, I love the name, and at the very worst, would have a lot of fun telling people that I was painting my stoop with elephant snot!I wasn't planning on writing a review at the onset, so unfortunately, I didn't take a before picture, so I can show you only the after picture. My wife and I were blown away by how well it worked. The spray paint is gone! I painted it in elephant snot using a paint brush, then agitated it with wire brush, then sprayed it off using a jet attachment on my garden hose. That removed 95%+, which we were already impressed by. At that point it was also 100% off of the stamped concrete. Then did the same thing again to get the remaining bits off. Immediately after the 2nd spray down, I also went over spots, mostly on the mortar, where there was a little orange left, which came off readily. What you see in the picture is what it looks like after that. All traces of the spray paint are gone. Next, I'll be able to do that long overdo sealing. There are some spots remaining on the textured colored stucco of the house that aren't entirely gone (his collateral damage from not taping up first). Part of the problem with those spots are that I can't hit it as hard with the hose jet without risking damaging/removing the texture itself, but I'll be able to restore those parts with a little paint touch up.This was a big success story. My wife insisted that I leave a review, since we were both so impressed. Thank you for a product that exceeded expectations, and saved my stoop!Lonnie & Debbie Chrisman, San Jose, CA
