Express Pet Supplies Thick Bulls Pizzles Dog Treat Chew, 50x12cm

I bought these after much a lot of searching around for a chew for our Beagle mix. He was rescued from a very sorry situation from the RSPCA and had not been exposed to all the toys and treats a young dog should. I haven't had any success with other chews - rawhide, dental chews, jumbones, nylabones... He just doesn't show any interest in anything. I was at my wit's end trying to find him something to keep him occupied during the day (I work from home and anything productive is nigh-on impossible with the little blighter jumping up and running around). Things looked hopeful when he was immediately fascinated by the parcel (arrived after three days), perhaps it was the smell!? Now these come in a postage bag, within another bag (not airtight). If I hadn't been there to pick the parcel up the dog would probably have ripped it open, so that's probably something that needs considering. The dog was a bit confused at first, not sure what to do with the pizzle, but after a while he started to dig in. Let me say, these STINK! I have tried tripe before, and this is a similar stench to this. But it's the case with all pizzle you buy, it's just something you have to accept! The dog has been 'chewing' (or his rather special version of it) for about an hour and the stick has lost probably less than an inch in length. They are very thick (thicker than the rawhide cigars you can get), and I can see them lasting ages. I was a bit concerned that they'd either not last very long or the dog would ignore them altogether, and a tenner is quite a lot of money to wager on this, but I'm extremely pleased with how they are.

I have a 3 month old Golden Retiever. To be honest she loves most things, but these are off the scale! The smell was obvious as soon as I opened thre Amazon box, and when I opened the package inside I thought it best I move into the garden. Good job I did. The puppy went wild for it as soon as I showed her. One taste and she took it off to the bottom of the garden and remained there for an hour. There was no way I could get it back as well, without turning into a chasing game. Not that I really wanted it back, but I wanted to see what's left. Eventually, I exchanged it for a treat but, wow, what a stink! I placed the remains (about half) of the "stick" into a poop bag and it stays outdoors. The puppy came inside but she smells as awful as the poop bag contents. Tried brushing her teeth, but nothing helps. Still, it gave me an hour of calm and there's still plenty to go of this one left and 9 more to go. Can I really bear the smell though....? Depends on how desperate I am for that peace and quiet!

Dog loves them. Keeps his teeth healthy and him occupied for about 15 minutes ! They do smell a bit but I tried buying the odourless ones and my dog wasn't interested.

Both our dogs loved these, so I wish I could give this product more stars. But as it's meant to be relatively long-lasting for the price it's not cost-effective. One of our Lurchers devoured the treat in about 10 minutes and the other in about 20 minutes. They don't appear very thick, but as it's the first time trying this treat, I am not sure what else is available, though another reviewer mentioned seeing thicker sticks elsewhere, so I think I shall go on the hunt for those.

well i don't love it but my dogs do! i used to pay a small fortune for these at the local pet shop and it seemed worth it until the pizzles started looking like very small pathetic twigs for the same price. i have 2 rottie x breeds and the 'twigs' lasted seconds and were a total waste of money. i sourced these (got to love amazon!) and was delighted when they arrived as they are lovely and thick and i now get a good hours peace and quiet when the dogs get one. well worth the money, this is the second lot i have ordered and will regularly keep doing so. one word of warning is they stink while being eaten!!

They stink to high heaven, but all natural dried dog treats do. one pizzle kept him occupied for the better part of 2 hours. make sure you have plenty of water around, your furry friend is going to need it. unfortunately, the following day he was so ill we needed an emergency visit to the vets. 3 hours of constant vomiting and other unspeakable sights/sounds/smells, and dry heaving gave the poor fella a rough time. Didnt connect it with the pizzle until a few days later when he had recovered and gave him another one. we had to hose down the garden, the mess he made, and a normally energetic dog was poleaxed. total cost of treats were £250 if you include the emergency trip to the vets.

Gizmo the dog... Nom nom nom nom nom...."I likes these very much, my Mom bought these as after I had a scare with the not so stinky ones that she got from a different shop...I bited into one of those and it broke into lots of little sharp bits that hurt my mouth...BUT these super stinky pizzles are fab, Mom says theyre super smelly because they have more moisture in them and this stops them from snapping and breaking up like the not so stinky ones, so they're better for me. They last a long time; half a one lasted me over an hour but my goal is to chew them faster and see if I can gets them eaten quicker. They keep my choppers gleaming and my breath doesn't stink too bad after I is finished...Oh and the vet says I have lovely gnashers for an 8 year old Jack Russel...I love my vet, but not when she wants to take my temperature xx. My mom ordered my pizzles and they arrived the very next day so I was super happy, so much so I chased my tail and got the zoomies." Thank you Express Pet Supplies xx

La consegna amazon prime sempre impeccabile, arrivato dopo 2 gg dall'ordine (considerando la quarantena). Il prodotto é arrivato ben confezionato con all'interno 12 pezzi. È un buon prodotto in quanto sono pezzi grossi leggermente migliori di quelli che vendono da arcaplanet x esempio. L'odore é un po forte ma il mio cane lo adora quindi é una caratteristica che non tengo in considerazione. Il prezzo é un Po elevato dato che x 12 pezzi limporto é di 24 euro. Purtroppo non riuscendo ad uscire di casa per la quarantena non posso acquistarli in negozio. questo é un buon prodotto qualità prezzo.
