I really like the hose reel. It works really well retracts with a light tug. I wasn't sure of a plastic reel but it is well made. The only issue is the bracket pin is plastic too. That I could see as a failure point in the future. Really Nice Hose Reel!

For the most part, I am very happy with this hose reel. I got a 100' long one, and it is every bit of that, and from what I can tell, it is actually a few feet longer. The hose seems to be nice quality, and the housing is nice too. I have had some issues with it that aren't too major, but if they did not exist, I would definitely have given it a 5 out of 5. The mounting bracket holes are too far apart to mount all four of them to a 2 x 4 stud, so I decided to try the wall anchors that came with it. The anchors pulled out of the wall as soon as I pulled on it. They are not suited for this at all. I read in at least one other review not to use the lag bolts that came with it, so I used my own and didn't mess with these. I ended up using some scrap pieces of wood and mounting them to a stud, and then mounting the reel to the wood (see in photos). I am going to replace what I have with two 2 x 4s anchored to two wall studs, just to be on the safer side. The other issue I have is that I couldn't use a standard wrench to tighten the quick release fitting onto the hose (see in photos). There is not enough space in there, so I am either going to have to buy some narrow wrenches or modify one of my existing wrenches so it will fit. I currently have an air leak at this spot obviously, but that is the only leak. I am happy about that! Overall, definitely a great buy for a hobbyist for airing up tires and using air tools. I would absolutely buy another one if I had to!

UPDATE 1 year later: Still works exactly like the day I installed it! No complaints. Every time this thing rolls back up correctly I feel a bit of stress relief. My last hose reel was so bad I would have to fight it every time it rolled back up so I’ve been conditioned to expect a fight from every hose reel :-) Original review: I bought the fluorescent green brand of hose reels back in May 2017. After a few months it wouldn’t reel back up easily or correctly. I fought with that thing for 8 years. I’d finally had enough and attempted to open the case to adjust the tension and it broke! I bought this model 5/2025 and it is awesome! It ALWAYS rolls back up correctly! No fighting, no little adjustments each time like my old one. It just works each and every time. Having the additional 50 feet is also great. I can’t recommend this hose reel enough!! Just buy it. This is an honest review from a typical “Weekend warrior”American guy with the single family home, white picket fence and 1.6 kids :-). I can’t provide an opinion on if it’ll hold up to everyday commercial use. I wasn’t compensated in any way for this review.
