Gorgeous, heavy, and a joy to use! Also I’m quite pleased with the durability after months of use, having dropped the pestle on the floor multiple times without any sign of damage.

I acquired the UMIEN Granite Mortar and Pestle Set a few years ago (purchase: April, 2023). As far as functionality and aesthetics, there isn't anything I don't like about this mortar and pestle set. I like that it's all granite. Knowing that this item is pure stone makes me trust that nothing bad is going to seep into my food if I crush it. It's also very easy to clean. I haven't had any issues with the surface flaking off or food stains because of the granite material. I love the look of the item. It's a simple design and lends itself to just sitting out on display. Grey is a neutral color as well so if the color of the kitchen changes, then there isn't as much worry about needing to change out this item. The only critique of this mortar and pestle is that it's a little bit heavier than I expected. However, it is made of granite, so I should've expected the heft of the mortar. I would purchase this item again if needed and I would recommend this item to my family.

Functionally, it’s a dream. I've used it to crush garlic, grind spices, make pesto, and even guacamole. Everything turns out smoother and more flavorful compared to using a food processor. Received this item today and it looks pretty good, it’s heavy and seems like a great product, but I. haven’t used it yet. It came with a card that says if I scan the QR code, it gives one year warranty for the product. But when I try to scan it, it’s saying to “follow the white rabbit” whatever that means. I don’t wanna click on unnecessary link or following anything. I wish they could just make it easy to access these warranties.🤷🏻‍♀️ Also it came with no instructions and I wish they include a cookbook also.

I bought this for the sole purpose of crushing solid chunks of very hard Himalayan pink salt so I can grind down. The thing is massive and super sturdy probably 10-12lbs and works as expected. It's very rough in surface finish which is what you want in this type mortar so you can really grind and crush. The pestle is a little smaller than a baseball in the palm with good heft to do it's business. I also get the added bonus of being able to use it for Guac which is a family fave. With that being said it's a great product so far the only draw back if you buy is the initial seasoning. You must clear out all the grit prior to using it which is not difficult you just have to scrub the dickens out of it with a stiff brush under running water. I had to scrub and rinse about 6 times until the water was clear after that you're good to go.

This is a great mortar & pestle. Its real heavy maing it easier to grind spices and in my case egg shells for the garden.

This mortar is beautiful, big enough too, just over 3 cup. It came with a felt pad for the bottom. Be ready ut is heavy. Like any mortar it needed smoothing, feel the mortar surface, try to smooth thstvout. Simply put in 1.5 cups of water and start grinding the surface with the pestle. This process smooths the mortar surface and the pestle. Mine needs a second time, then it will be ready once it is dry pour uncooked rice in grind it into a powder. Once done, toss out the powder wash it omit out let it dry

I absolutely love it! It has a nice, sturdy weight to it, just as it should. The design is beautiful and aesthetic. I use it to serve guacamole and to crush my spices—it’s both practical and very presentable.
