## Overview

The Micro-Mesh Soft Touch Pen Sanding Kit includes nine 2x2 inch foam-backed pads ranging from 1500 to 12000 grit, designed for ultra-fine finishing on wood, resin, acrylics, and stabilized blanks. Its color-coded system and durable aluminum oxide abrasives provide professional-grade polishing with up to 15 times longer lifespan than typical sanding pads.

## Description

The super-fine grit of Micro-Mesh papers will give all your pen blanks that "wet look" finish. Foam-backed ultra-fine grit 2" x 2" two-sided pads put a polished sheen on bare wood and a handsome luster on finish coatings. Abrasive crystals last up to 15 times longer than normal abrasives. Kit includes one each of 1500, 1800, 2,400, 3200, 3500, 4000, 6000, 8000 and 12000 grit pads.

They are easy to use and fit well in your hand. They last well, too, and you can get a t least three fret jobs out of each pad.

**Q: What size are these? The product description states 2"x2", however the technical details state 4.4" x 3.4"?**
A: 4.4 x 3.4 x 1.2 inches is the size of the packaging.  Each individual sanding pad is 2"x2".

**Q: I have the souveran 800. the ink flow is not there making it slow to start and skip. what can i do, if anything, about this? can i use micro mesh?**
A: I would wash the nib thoroughly in a solution specifically made for that purpose. Check that you are using ink specifically made for fountain pens. Others would clog the nib. Lastly, yes... You can use the higher grade of this sanding pads to hone your nib. Highest is 12000 grade. Hope this helps.

A: I don’t think so.
