I use this to build up strength in my arms---mobility---and circulation. It is quite user friendly ---it is of good quality This is a great item for my legs as well as my arms

Super product for shoulder recovery - provides forward and backward motion, over a speed range, brings strength and confidence.

NOT a "Rehab" tool following total knee replacement - at least not after the first few days. The distance between the pedals - about 8 inches - is way too small to help you develop your range of motion. A standard bicycle is about twice that and even that is too small after a month or so. (Not that you should be riding a bicycle right after surgery! Use a stationary bike!) If you want something to put under your desk or in front of your chair while watching TV to help get a bit of exercise, fine. It's certainly better than not moving at all! But it's not going to build much range of motion.

I just had a total left hip replacement surgery two months ago and I do physical therapy every day at home. I cycle 30 minutes to keep my blood flowing and to prevent swelling in my feet due to inactivity.
