Peak Refuel Backcountry Bison Bowl Freeze-Dried Camping Meal,

Delicious! It was great for my backpacking trip to Isle Royale.

Pretty tasty. Great for camping. Easy to cook. Mixes real well.

I believe this was a good one. I believe I put a little to much water in. And even though I did, it tasted good. Yes, I would eat it again. I also thought there was enough for two people to eat or one big meal. Supper easy to make. I heated the water in my microwave and it worked great. Simple. 👍 do I feel the cost is worth it. I would say close to yes. Would I buy it again, yes. If I wanted it for my bug out bag. The longevity of shelf life makes it worth it.

One might think that a rehydrated biscuit would be mushy. ....One would be wrong! I was pleasantly surprised to find that after 10 minutes soaking in boiled water that the biscuits in this meal were somehow crunchy and flaky (well done Peak Fuel). Also, the Bison was tasty and rich. I had a hard time finishing all of this meal; it was very filling (and most satisfying)!

It was alright. It gives more food than a typical pouch in my opinion so if you're really hungry this is good. The flavor was decent but it's mainly just rice and mashed potatoes and not a lot of anything else. Not a ton of flavor. Very filling though

Best tasting ready-to-eat meal that only requires 1 and 3/4 cup of boiling water. It is filling and packs over 40 grams of protein - excellent for a quick high-protein meal anywhere :)

I had high expectations for this meal as I love other meals that Peak Refuel manufacturers. The teensy, weensy particles of bison barely touch the palate. It is mainly a mushy rice and beans dish. I could only choke down half of it, as I was starving. The 3 stars were given was that half was palatable and the bits of bison were good. I would suggest larger portions of bison and less beans. That would solve the mushy-ness.

Recently went on a 3 day backpack hunting trip and brought these Bison Bowls with me. Heated them up using the boiling water from my JetBoil and wow were they tasty! I took spices with me because I was skeptical of this freeze dried food and I ended up not needing to add anything to it. The portion size was great too! at first the bags seem small or not enough to fill up a grown adult but I was wrong, one bag made enough for 2 full servings! I will be using Peak for all my camping and backpacking trips from now on.
