Anti Fog

I purchased this at the end of Jan to tackle interior windscreen condensation during cold mornings and short winter journeys. Application is straightforward when following the instructions. I made sure the glass was properly cleaned beforehand, applied using a cloth as directed, and buffed to a clear finish. The result was a clean, streak-free surface with no haze. In use, the difference has been noticeable. Interior fogging has reduced significantly, particularly on cold starts. It doesn’t completely defy physics in extreme damp conditions, but it delays condensation build-up enough to make early-morning and late night driving more comfortable and safer. At the time of writing I haven’t needed to reapply it yet, which suggests the treatment has reasonable durability. Two colleagues who noticed the improvement have since purchased it themselves for their cars and also seem very happy with it. Overall, this is an effective and practical solution for winter driving, provided it’s applied correctly to clean glass. I will buy it again when it is finished.

This is the definitive anti fogging spray. Works well but does leave a tin film on the glass (how else would it work) so needs a gentle polish.

Allows me to drive below oven temperature to keep the condensation off. It doesn't seem to last long for me though. Day 3, windows were starting to steam again. Perhaps that's just because of the damp things I tend to transport. HOWEVER! DO NOT FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTIONS! It says to buff it off after it's dried. If you do, you'll be left with smears all over your screen where it's been partially wiped off. You'll get a similar effect if you don't use enough when you apply it. Make sure you soak the towel, otherwise you get streaks everywhere. I've attached a before and after picture of a thick coat, the results are very clear. Just so you know, it's impossible to get rid of if it's been smeared. The only way to remove it, is to apply more, and let it go away naturally. To speed up the process, make it extremely humid in your car. It seems to have a kind of durability, as after a certain amount of steam, it stops working.

Didn't work for me.

I'm a great fan of Rain-X products in general - their Rain Repellant product works a treat; so I was expecting great things from Rain-X Anti-Fog - unfortunately not the case. I have tried this on both of our cars and it simply doesn't work - both windscreens still fog (however, in a slightly different way!). I cleaned both windscreens before application and dried with a paper towel before applying Rain-X and using a microfibre cloth to ensure coverage in all areas - disappointing results. After the first failure, I tried again - cleaning the screen and reapplying; but no difference.

It actually works. You must follow the instructions. But I’ll put what I did maybe it will help people who have used it without success. 1. Cover dash with a towel. Get a bowl of warm water with fairy liquid or similar in. Get a cloth and keep dipping in the bowl and wipe windscreen to clean it. Forget about glass cleaner etc. you have to have it fully clean. Then and importantly squeegee off. Don’t wipe it. Buy a squeegee and get rid of all water with a squeegee. This step is very important for success. 2. Spray the rain x anti fog in to a micro fibre cloth and wipe all over windscreen and windows inside. Use a second cloth to wipe it away. 3. After it’s been on an hour or so and preferably when it’s dark park so there’s a light so you can see smudges of product on your screen and wipe it again with a clean cloth. To get rid of smudges of product and any haze you see. There’s not a lot but if you want decent night vision without lights catching where it’s not wiped off then you need to do this. This step might not be necessary for everyone.

It seems to decrease the amount of misting but you have to rub it in really well.

Purchased this to put on my bathroom mirror to help with the morning fogging issue. I will say it works, and worked great, to my surprise. We will see how long it lasts before I have to reapply, but I'm happy with the results.
