Excellent quality. 10/10.
I've handmade dolls houses and miniatures for years and I thought I'd try this little kit as something different over the Christmas and New Year break. Honestly, I am blown away at the quality.I purchased the Rolife Cathy's Greenhouse.Easy instructions. Step by step guide. Pieces are excellent quality. Some of the plants are paper leaves. You cut the stems from wire, pop out the leaves from the precut papers and assemble them. Yes they are fiddly and require patience but they look amazing when made. Some plants are plastic but you still cut and assemble them yourself. The furniture is so cute, self assembly, wooden or plastic. No flimsy cardboard rubbish.I made everything up then followed the assembly step by step guide. Couple of bits were tricky and required very precise steps and patience, but the whole thing went together beautifully. Even assembling and wiring in the light was simple (you have to supply your own 2 x AAA batteries)Now it's completed it looks brilliant, and the little interior light really finishes it off.Everything is supplied - but when I was putting it together, I chose to use a tacky glue and tacky wax instead of the supplied double sided tape just because experience has taught me it's a better way to finish things off and then things don't fall over when you move it.I chose to add additional plants and flowers only because I already have a lot of homemade ones from previous projects, but really, there is so much stuff in the kit, you don't need to add anything else.100% happy with this brand and am next going to try their bakey, and maybe the chocolatiers shop when I've saved up a bit more money.LOVE this kit. Highly recommended.

Intricate and exquisite
This review relates to Cathy's Flower House.I've previously made some other Rolife kits: Sunshine Town, Time Travel and Sakura Densya but this kit is of a different order of magnitude in terms of difficulty and assembly time.Don't embark on assembling this kit unless you have good eyesight (and/or a strong pair of glasses), a steady hand and plenty of patience. Unlike the other Rolife kits that I mentioned above, in this one most of the pieces are glued together, rather than push-fit.The clear glue supplied is spirit based (similar to Uhu) so it's quick drying but not washable, so if you get it on the wrong places it's difficult to remove. I used my own PVA glue for a lot of the parts (that don't need quick drying glue) and some superglue. The pieces are very accurately cut and it all fits together well. The detail is incredible and it is excellent value for money considering the number of parts supplied. Some tips for assembly:1. There are 2 part sheets at the bottom of the box that show the numbered pieces to scale - use this to correctly identify the parts (because some are quite similar).2. The instructions show the bag number of the parts used in that step, like 2(2-1) for example. Always put unused parts back into the right numbered bag (you can't tip out all the parts into one tray) so that you can find the right parts quickly.3. Wipe off any excess glue quickly (before it sets).4. Use a steel ruler and a fine ballpoint pen or something similar to score the fold lines on the card pieces.5. Double check that you've used all the parts in each step - if you miss something off it might be impossible to fit it later on.6. You won't complete this kit in a weekend, or even two - allow yourself plenty of time. As an example, the paint brush in my photo is constructed from part of a cocktail stick, some aluminium foil and some cut paper for the bristles. It took me 3 attempts to make, I was only successful by cutting the Al foil strip 6mm wide instead of 4mm as instructed.7. The main clear plastic sheet for the greenhouse and the panes for the door have a plastic film on that needs to be peeled off prior to assembly, I don't think that the instructions mention this.Assembling all of the plants is time consuming: plant 1 took me half a day and there are more than 20 plants to make, but overall it's a lovely model and the end result is stunning.

There is lots to do in this kit. Lovely detail.A bit fiddly in parts but goes together well.

Not a beginner one but great to do
This is my second book nook and am hooked on them. My first was a more typical book nook. I am enjoying doing this one but think it would have put me off had I done this one first. There is a lot of quite fiddly detailing with this one particularly with the number of plants and flowers to be put together. You will likely need a bit of glue to secure some on this one as well. Also the furniture when assembled and put into the green house does not have slots to fit into so if you move it things can move. I am going to glue or use the double sided tape to hold the furnitue to the base. Having said all of this I think it is going to be lovely when it is assembled. It's going to go on the windowsill in my kitchen. I would recommend this one but not as a first intro to doing book nooks.

Put the phone down and just chill
Really enjoyed doing this, it can be a little fiddly at times but I thought the instruction book was one of the best I’ve seen. Nice to just put your phone down, put some music on and pass some hours with a loved one. I thought this was great value for money. The only negative I had was probably using the double sided tape, so I would probably recommend some glue of some type. If you enjoy things like Lego or know somebody who does I reckon this would make a great gift

Amazing detail
Having completed a few of the dream bottle series miniatures in glass jars I wanted something bigger!Instructions are easy to follow and everything comes in numbered bags along with a reference sheet for parts. Some areas require you to read ahead a little (especially the lighting!) to ensure you do things in the correct order.I did find I glued the floor paper the wrong way round (though I followed the instructions) and had to cut off some of the tab bits to fit it in the right way round but worked out fine!Glue is alright, sticks but takes a little longer to dry and you get those annoying glue webs that you have to pull off once dry. Always recommend a glue stick and some super glue which you can buy separately along with some needle nose pliers and needle nose tweezers, the ones that come in the set went straight in the bin.Outer 'glass' casing was difficult I won't lie. Pretty sure it's impossible to not get excess glue anywhere! All in all I loved it. The plants got a little bit tedious so my only complaint is I wish they mixed up the instructions a bit so you made different things but you don't necessarily have to follow the individual bits in order I suppose!

A wonderful kit!
If anyone is looking for a nice way to keep their minds occupied while being stuck at home during this pandemic, I can certainly recommend this beautiful model (I purchased the greenhouse). Instructions are clear and concise, you also get two other pages that you can use to measure up your parts if you're not sure that you have the right one. Most are pre-painted except for a few of the larger parts that encompass the flooring etc iirc. My kit came with two types of glue, latex and a type of liquid glue that's unlabelled but seems to resemble UHU all purpose in how it behaves.Would I recommend this to beginners? Well, probably not. There is a lot of intricate and detailed work to do. If you have zero experience with models, don't expect this to be an easy ride, it will take many hours of diligent work and bucket loads of patience, the parts are small and require steady hands. If you have experience with crafts/arts/models, it will of course help but I imagine many would easily get frustrated otherwise.Having said that, everything is there if you're willing to take your time and have a go.. it's worth every penny and I commend the modeller(s) who created this little work of art. The detail and intricacy in every part is truly gorgeous. I can't wait to finally finish it and turn on that little light.Extra tools I'd recommend:Small pair of scissors (possibly even surgical, some of the plant cutouts/leaves and other bits are that small)Hobby knife with various bladesSolid pair of tweezers (the ones in the kit are just about okay but you'd do well do have something sturdier)If your kit doesn't come with glue due to shipping restrictions, I'd recommend getting a good wood glue and UHU is good (but can be messy if you're not nimble), some superglue wouldnt go amiss in certain applications either.Other than that.. I think all you need is a good attitude to get it done!

Bad instructions
Looks beautiful, but unfortunately the instructions are ambiguous to say the least. Maybe if you’re used to building things it’s fine, but if all you’ve done is assemble flat pack furniture like me you’ll be lost. Also, the double sided sticky tape that you get doesn’t stick anything together or down and you have to stick a lot of tiny things down so if you buy this buy some strong glue as well. The plastic greenhouse part fits over everything at the end, except that it didn’t and I had to cut it at the back and on one side to make it fit. I don’t know if the lighting works because I haven’t wired it. I honestly don’t have the energy to bother at this point. It’s a terrible shame because otherwise it’s a lovely thing

La casetta è bellissima, purtroppo l’ho restituita perché mi è sembrata molto complicata, non mi ero accorta che si trattava di incastro di piccoli pezzetti di legno, la prenderò più avanti quando mi sentirò pronta
