Bought this as a gift. It actually works! The ice cubes come out completely clear. I didn't read the details completely so this is on me, but from the picture I couldn't tell that the outside was bare styrofoam. For the price I guess I expected a hard plastic protective outer shell of some kind, and was a little disappointed to discover it was just styrofoam. There may be a reason for this but either way it's just more fragile than I originally thought. Thought about subtracting a star but the product works as intended. Just be careful not to accidentally destroy the styrofoam shell; I think it'll render the product useless at that point. The styrofoam is dense so that helps a little.

It took me a couple of attempts but I did get some very clear ice. My cubes have cracks but that was because I put water on them to see how clear they were. My pictures don't do it justice but you can tell the different in the taste of the ice too.I used hot water from my faucet. After you make your first batch, clear out the bottom frozen ice and start process over again.The covers for the cube ice isn’t great and my freezer in the garage is slight in even so frost formed.

It really works I'm in love with it. It has my drinks really cold like I like it.

I like having one clear ice sphere in my cocktails but the mold I had only produced cloudy ones. For me, it wasn’t aesthetically appealing so I did my research and learned there was a process for making the type of sphere I wanted. The main reason I chose this particular product was because it provided a way to make spheres and cubes! This product makes two of each but it takes 24 hours. No big deal, I make them then fill freezer bags with them. Follow the directions to the letter and you won’t go wrong.

Easy to use, ice comes out clear. Bottom cubes are to throw out as they have all the impurities in them. They freeze clear and melt slow so my drink doesn’t get watered down but stays ice cold.

The spheres and the cubes both come out clear. I’m extremely happy with the spheres, they are perfect. The cubes are hit and miss. They never seem to be actual cubes. Oftentimes the bottom hasn’t frozen even with 1-4 hours additional time in the freezer. Sometimes 23 hours is the sweet spot, sometimes 26 isn’t enough got the cubes to fully form. I wish I had just gotten spheres only.
