Thumb Grip (Sliver)

Perfect fit on X100VI. Closest colour match to the camera's silver of any aftermarket thumb grip I've looked at in the 18 months or so I've had the camera. Doesn't obscure rear focus button and may even stop my thumb straying too far by mistake as it provides a tactile point of reference. The stylized 'FujiFilm 1934 soundwave pattern' in black on top is a nice touch and the SmallRig branding not too obvious as it's white on silver. As I already have a silver shutter release button the red one in the box is a handy-to-have spare. Paper and card, the packaging is both recycled and recyclable. Well done, SmallRig. I have no affiliation with SmallRig or Amazon and bought this with my own money. A very well thought-out item.

Does exactly what it needs to, easy to fit and comfortable. It really helps with grip during long shoots. Good quality for the price.

This is usual Smallrig good quality. The thumb grip fits well and adds much more security to holding the camera particularly if you want to use it one handed. I chose the black one which colour matches the black 100V camera well. The grip is well designed and I don't find it interfering with the use of the camera controls. A small item but I wouldn't be without it.

Firstly this is well made and makes the camera much easier/better to hold. Also it doesn’t block any of the controls, although does make some a tad harder to use. Their quality control could be better though, the logo lettering on the first one wasn’t done properly and looked a mess so I returned it for a replacement. The lettering on the replacement is fine but the metal it’s made from is not as close as match as the first and is slightly darker than the top plate of the camera. I can’t be bothered to send it back again for this, but it’s not idea.

This works well for me. The thumb rest pad is in exactly the right position. Holding the camera feels more secure, yet relaxed. I don't find it significantly hinders access to the Drive/Delete, AEL/AFL buttons, or the rear thumbwheel. I wondered whether the white Smallrig logo might bug me visually - it doesn't seem to be as visually intrusive as product shots make, so that's OK. The shutter release button was a mini-bonus. I now press the shutter button using the part of the index finger just beyond the last joint, rather than the finger tip. It's just as controlled, but also more relaxed and a better finger position overall. Why didn't I get one of these before?

el producto ha llegado en perfecto estado. Es lo que esperaba. Bien construido, se nota robusto y con ajuste perfecto. Le da un plus de agarre a esta cámara que es pequeña y pesa un poco, cosa que me gusta. El botón de disparo hay que ajustarlo bien porque es fácil que se suelte, pero tiene buen tamaño y le da un toque diferente a la cámara. Me habría gustado más en color bronce pero no lo había.

If you're on the fence about a thumb grip for your X100V or X100VI—just get this one. It fits perfectly, drastically improves handling, and looks stock. Makes the X100V way more comfortable to hold, especially one-handed. Pairs perfectly with a front grip if you're using one. You get a more secure, confident grip without adding bulk. Fit: 10/10 Slides into the hot shoe snugly with no wiggle or movement. Everything stays firmly in place, and it doesn’t block any buttons or dials. The exposure compensation dial and screen remain fully accessible—smartly designed. Looks: 8/10 The grip blends in beautifully and looks like a factory part. Only knock is the oversized SmallRig logo—a bit much for the size of the item. Thankfully, it’s in white, so it doesn’t scream at you, but still could be subtler. Extras: 9/10 The included soft shutter button is a nice surprise, especially if you didn’t already have one. Matches Peak anchor buttons well and adds a little finesse when focusing. Overall: 9.5/10 Must-have add-on for X100V/X100VI shooters. The boost in comfort and control makes it well worth it, even with the branding nitpick.
