I bought this after a fall and bone break. It's VERY HELPFUL! It will pick up a bucket, a plastic bag, a pillow, shoes, paper, trash can, a sweater....You have to think about your movements, calculate how heavy or light an object is, but careful planning, and it does the hard work for you. I've used it over 20 times in the first 2 weeks, with great relief to find something simple and easy. It gave me some independence when I had none. When I'm healed, I will still use this for reaching behind cabinets or dressers to grab a fallen object, or for any tight work that might require bending awkwardly to retrieve something.

This is the best gripper I've ever purchased. Came wrapped and folded - easy to open and snap into place. Excellent, sturdy handle grip and end clasp of the grabber has solid rubber (claws) to hold items in place when 'grabbing' and also can be shifted sideways. Also, very good value!

Got this grabber tool to use postpartum. I am obsessed with tidying up and doing things on my own and with a c section to recover from, I knew I wouldn’t be able to get as much done. This grabber is awesome. It picks up even the TINIEST items on the first try. It has really great grip, both for the person using it and for the item itself. I’ve grabbed cans, paper plates, dog toys, bottles, wrappers, phones, etc. with no issue. It’s pretty light weight so it’s not hard to pick up and use. It’s also small enough that you can store it or prop it up out of the way. Very sturdy and has been so useful.

It is a bit more flimsy than some I have had, but it was also less expensive. It does not fold, but since I keep it here in the office with me, the folding is not really an issue. I like that it has the magnets on the end to help with locating and retrieving small metal objects that have dropped and it is sturdy enough for most of the things I need to reach. All in all, I am pleased with my purchase.

Great product for a great price. I broke my leg and am limited to a chair I can scoot around in or the bed, so it is difficult when I drop something or the family puts my phone/water bottle/medication slightly out of reach (or the chair because I'm "trying to do too much too soon" lol). I love that I can fold it in half and carry it with me as I scoot through the house. Very easy to use, doesn't require much grip strength. Seems fairly sturdy, I've only been using it for 2 days and will update if anything changes. I've used it to grab anything from a phone charging cord to the arm of the chair to pull it closer, seems to handle a good bit of weight easily. I was (still am) a tad disappointed because from the picture I thought the pink color had a slight metallic finish to it and instead it has a matte finish, but it could be I just need new glasses after bumping my head when I fell XD

After a fall resulting in multiple fractures, I suddenly found myself using a walker. A friend told me right away to get a reacher. I don't know how I would survive without it. I have no prior experience so I have nothing to compare it to but this one is great. Easy to handle and maneuver, and quite sturdy. What amazes me most is how well it works. I can even pick up a small pill dropped on the floor. I can see it will still none useful long after the walker is no longer needed.

Very light weight. Works as it should for now. Seems like it will have a very limited life. But the length is very good with good grip. Thankfully I should only need it short term. Folding mechanism seems that the inside cord will not last long if folded too frequently. Good for short term but probably not long term. But a decent price for my purpose.

I just wrote about this elsewhere as a recommendation for after a c-section and realized I should write an actual review too. For $9.95 it gave me my independence back. Even silly things like if I dropped a burp cloth or a receipt or a napkin on the floor? If my husband wasn’t home, it just had to stay there in that spot for hours because you’re really not supposed to bend down, etc. I originally didn’t take it easy and for a day or two would kneel down to pick things up thinking all was fine, then I ended back up at the hospital in insane pain. The grabber stick was key in making life easier and helping me feel like myself again. Now, three years later we still use it for random things, it’s durable, lightweight, easy to carry, and can be used for many things. I didn’t even know there was a magnet on it until looking at this listing again, also didn’t realize I could fold it. Even without those, it gets 5 stars. Now with those perks, I’d probably give it 10 stars i could haha.

Very pleased with this gripper. I have had many that weren't as capable as this one. Have had no problem picking small things up off of the floor or grabbing a full can that was just out of reach. You can turn the gripper on the shaft with positive stops to 90° so basically grab vertically or horizontally. Has a magnet in one of the gripper arms for picking up a key ring or reaching behind something to pick up with the fairly strong magnet. Very pleased and will likely by another when on sale.
