Loud Speaker Repair Glue Foam Side Dust Cap Rubber Edge Cone Basin Strong Adhesive 50ML/1.68 fl.oz (1)

Used to repair an antique radio speaker that was not worth having professionally refurbished. Used to seal some small tears in the cone, reglue detached spider to the frame, and (with some coffee filter as "stitching" material) to seal up the large incision made around the voice coil to access the spider. I wouldn't have attempted such a thing unless it was a last ditch effort with nothing to lose. Product is easy to apply, laying down a nice bead through the fine applicator tip. I love that the cap has a needle that inserts into the applicator tip to prevent clogs. For the more substantial patch-up work, I used a small hobby paint brush to apply over the coffee filter material. It was humid here at the time of application, and the glue was still just a bit tacky nearly 24 hours after application in the areas where it had been applied most liberally, so I gave it a little extra time. The product has only a minimal smell. I can't say yet if this fix is going to stand the test of time, but I can say that I now how have a useful speaker and radio instead of having to scour the forums for a spare out of someone's old junker. And this tube was a lot less expensive, and I have plenty left for my next repair. I couldn't be happier!

I deviated from my usual speaker glue, due to delivery dates. I'm glad I did, or I wouldn't have found this adhesive. The glue comes out black, and has a bit of an odor. The odor goes away after about 5 minutes. The tip and cap are amazing. I had wondered when reading the reviews why people were saying they loved the tip. Now I totally get it. The tip is a thin metal tube coming from the tube, and the cap has a pin built in which keeps the nozzle cleared for next use. The metal tip can dispense a very fine line of glue, or it can dispense with greater volume by squeezing tube harder. Excellent control and glue doesn't pool up around tip, which sometimes leaves one having to wipe the tip so it doesn't leave unwanted furrows outside your glue-line. So far adhesive is holding extremely well

Works very well! Applicator tube made installation a breeze. Let glue set about 2 mins before installing surround. 1 tube repaired (2) 10 inch subwoofers with half left over.

I recently refoamed a pair of Bose 501s (refer to photos) and this was my first time undertaking such a task. This adhesive made the job much much easier for several reasons: The 'viscosity' of the glue is great - it's not too runny and it's also not something that simply congeals into a blob while it's dispensed. Additionally, the reusable tip (refer to photo) that is integrated into the tube works better than any such item I've used when it comes to glues and adhesives. I followed the instructions closely for time to cure and I didn't rush the process - and this past week the fruits of my labor paid off with a really great sounding pair of vintage speakers that I was able to bring back to life with this adhesive and a speaker kit. A great deal at this price as well and I truly hope they don't plan on raising their prices - it's what brought me 'in' and now I'll stay a fan because the product is simply that good. 5 out of 5 without a question.

Works well but not as hard or strong as I hoped. It dries abit soft and remains flexible.

Seems to do the job well & cheaply. It’ll easily last me a lifetime as long as they don’t dry up over the years but If I were to buy it again I’d probably look to see if they make a clear version (personal preference)

I have to share how pleased I am with this glue. "Very." There, now I've done it. :) But, seriously. I just reglued three (yes 3) 6.5" poly cone speakers with rubber surround, my first surround repair ever. The applicator tip is great. The consistency is smooth but not too runny. It remains soft for 2-3 minutes, which is easily enough time to carefully draw the bead, recap the tube, and center the speaker, not *so* long that you're left waiting around for it to be tacky. Like most of these products, it says "and then clamp it overnight," as if we have some sort of magic clamping apparatus that will work with speaker cones. It seems to form an adequate bond with careful and repeated squeezing during the critical 3-7 minute "becoming tacky" period. YMMV but if you fail it's probably not the fault of this glue. There's enough in this tube to completely recone quite a few speakers. Tip: I got tense and was squeezing the bottle too hard. Tip 2: When you need to stop to rotate the speaker, stop squeezing *before* the end of the line you are drawing, so the ooze forms part of the line! Tip 3: put the lid cover back on the bottle *immediately* when you're done applying to the speaker, so the glue doesn't dry in the tip. Tip 4: ventilation! It says right on the label, it's over 50% solvents.

I used this to repair/re-foam 6 speakers since I purchased it. The first set was a pair of old Advent bookshelf speakers, I used them for a while before using the glue on 2 pair of vintage Polk audio speakers. Once I sourced the foam, I removed and cleaned the surface area and followed the directions for speaker re-foam I found online. I use the small set of Polk bookshelf speakers daily for months and they are holding up well. The other set of speakers were 1987 Polk Audio Monitor 10b's that needed foam on the woofers and passive subs. I followed the same process as before and they work great. It's been about a year with no problems. I give these speakers the beans regularly as part of my vintage audio system and 250w amp. They're holding strong so, I'd say this glue is quite good.

Waste of time. Utter rubbish! Sets far to quickly on the joint from foam surrpund to the edge of the speaker cone.
