She loved skating and started asking me to take her ever day. I bought these skates for her a week or two later because I was paying over $3 each time to rent skates. She started taking skating school classes in April with these skates. In August, she started private lessons. She didn't have to get new skates until October, before she started learning the waltz jump. They were over $200! These skates are VERY much for beginners. They're good for learning to stay up and move on the ice. They were cheap and served their purpose. She's now skating in competitions and on a synchro team. These skates were a great intro skate to make sure she really liked the sport. They are not good once the skater starts learning any actual elements like jumping or spinning because they don't provide enough ankle support.
