My 3 year old loves his new bike. The training wheels detach which will allow the bike to grow with him. Super easy put together as well!

My 5 year old got too big for his 16 inch bike, and I wanted to get an 18 inch bike. I searched a long time, looking at bike shops, outdoor gear shops, and superstores. I could not find an 18 inch bike that had a design on it that wasn't like a regular bike. My son loved his Captain America bike (his younger brother did too, and he wanted it), so I figured that I would need to buy another bike that interested our oldest son if I was to get him to leave the smaller bike behind. I had shown him some really nice regular bikes, but he did not really like them. I even thought about buying a nice single color bike that I could then turn into a Darth Vader or Stormtrooper bike. because I was getting desperate. Then I came across this bike. I showed it to him, and he said he wanted it. It was the first bike that he said he wanted, and I had already shown him like 15-20 other bikes over the course of weeks of looking. I purchased it quickly as there were only 3 left, and am glad I did. It was easy to put together, the coloring of the flat black with the shinny yellow really make it pop (my son did not want to put the foam wrapping on it because it looked so nice), and the rev grip is awesome (I had to buy one for my younger child - I reviewed that grip as well, but this one is definitely nice in my opinion). Having adjustable height training wheels is nice too (but does seem standard). What I REALLY LIKE is that this bike can be stopped with both a hand break and by doing the reverse pedal. On his old bike, my son learned to break using the reverse pedal. This one has that, but also has a hand break. When he rides this bike, I have him practice using the hand break so that he will be ready in the future for a larger bike with multiple gears that does't have the reverse pedal break. This is great. I also set the seat stem at the lowest height (with the rear reflector on it) and it fit perfectly, so at least height-wise, I think this is good long term (couple of years). I like everything about this bike, but I will say that the handlebar break definitely needed adjusting, and I wish it came with some grease for the seat and handle bar stems (I mean they oil up parts, why couldn't they have it pre-greased or add a little pack of grease?). I feel those are the two things that were lacking, but I think that these are pretty standard bike maintenance issues with any bike you buy (just be prepared to do both). An awesome buy, and I think that this will provide years of riding (until 7 plus), and if he wants the front plastic removed, or the rev grip taken off, they can easily be removed and it will still look nice after the novelty of a "kids" bike has disappeared (if it gets to that).

Great bike! It was easy to assemble and well made. The handle has an attachment to it where you can “rev” it like a motorcycle. Our son loves it. The design on the bike is neat too. Comes with training wheels that you can remove later. Good bike for starters!

I've worked on plenty of bikes in my day, and I had some issues with this one. Nothing I couldn't handle; it was just a bit annoying. My biggest complaint is that the front fork was about a quarter inch too narrow for the wheel hub. I was barely able to pry them open enough to fit the hub, and I strained my hand a bit in the process. Also, the stem was way too tight so that handle bars were hard to turn, and I could hear the bearings grinding inside. I loosed that up and then it was fine. Also, the chain was WAY too tight, and then I could barely loosen the nuts to adjust it. So it was evident that it was just poorly assembled in the factory. After all that, it's a fine bike, and my son loves it. I do wish the sound effect grip actually had rubber on it.. it's all plastic. So when we take the training wheels off I may take that off and put some new grips on. That doesn't bother me though. My son thinks the sounds are really cool. Oh and I had to adjust the breaks, but that was no big deal. You might be interested to know, my son is four, and he's strong enough to pull the break lever. In conclusion, I would be upset if I spent more money, but it's fine for price. It's a really cool looking bike.

I assembled it and tested it out. I think the bike itself is very good. But I had a bit of trouble when I assemble it first because the manual isn't really clear. I would deduct half a star for that. But eventually I was able to figure it out. And my son loves it.

Compramos esta bicicleta como regalo de cumpleaños de nuestro hijo, y le fascinó. El detalle de campana que tiene pero con sonido de motor de un coche deportivo la hace única, ademas de que es muy llamativa, su calidad es excelente, y ni hablar de la relacion costo-calidad. Estivimos viendo varias opciones antes de decidirnos, pero la verdad esta fue por mucho la mejor opción. Llegó en perfectas condiciones y justo en la fecha programada, además Amazon nos devolvió dinero después de pagar los gastos de importación ya que habían sido menores a lo estimado, eso me hizo más confianza al comprar en Amazon . Por último cabe mencionar que no viene ensamblada, aunque según mi esposo, no fue nada difícil armarla. Espero esta información sea útil.

Great looking bike, red & racy. Our 4 year old birthday boy was thrilled! He had to test it inside. Can’t rate performance yet because it’s winter & streets are covered in ice & snow.
